I was wondering if anybody had any pics of the King Cab doors without the interior panels on. I'm thinking about using that speaker location for an 8" or 10" midbass or sub. It seems that there should be enough room but I haven't taken off the panels yet to investigate. Any thoughts or ideas about this would also be great. Thanks! :)

The issue with mounting a speaker of that size is depth and support. The mounting location is just straight to the sheet metal of the door. You would have to cut out for the larger diameter speaker and somehow beef up the mounting points. I think smoketitan may have 8" speakers in his doors. An MDF ring would work. Also when looking at the plastic panel on the door, the speaker grills extend into the door panel to somewhat enclose the factory 6.5" speakers. These might have to be cut. Hope that makes sense.

I follow ya, I'm actually thinking about building a fiberglass enclosure to go in the door. I made one for my A4 last year in the trunk wall and it came out great.

That being said..... When are you expecting to get your Enkei wheels? Those are the wheels that I'm getting come spring. I wasn't aware they were available with black centers though. That is gonna look sick! I would love to see some good pics when you get them. :)

I got them mounted on Friday with my Toyo Open Country M/T 35x12.5x18's. Along with the lift kit on. They don't come with black centers. After researching numerous powedercoating shops I decided to get them painted. Powdercoating would have been too tough with a one piece wheel and just doing the spokes. The wheels turned out awesome. I will post pics as soon as I can clean my truck up. It is 18 degrees here so it may be a while. As for fiberglassing in a enclosure in the door, there should be plenty of room.
