97,000 miles.

I didn't realize what bad shape the old rotors/pads were in until they were off. The mechanic (at the dealer) said he was impressed with them...said they "fit like a glove", which he said isn't always the case with aftermarket products.

We also checked the shackles...they showed no signs of failure. He indicated that he routinely looks at them because he's seen trucks come in with the leaf spring busted through the truck bed.

Was there a problem with your truck before the upgrade? I thought the main reason people upgraded to these were lifted T with bigger tires---Is that your case?

Nope...no problem. It was time for new brakes/rotors and I decided I wanted to go with something other than OEM equipment.

can you tell a difference in stopping?

Still a bit early to tell as I'm just at the end of the 120-150 miles that they recommend you take it easy on the brakes to properly burnish them.

Hope they did not charge you too much to install them. With BlackBeauty's how-to thread, I would have to kick my own a$$ to have someone else install them. I am 1200 miles into the new set and they are great.. Take a peek at your brake fluid color. If its dark as mine is it needs to be flushed and changed. My next endevor!

They charged me a hour and a half labor...not bad, I thought. Living in NYC, I really don't have a place or the equipment to try and do it myself.
