Here is a link to the recall that was sent to Nissan dealers. It outright states that federal law requires all new vehicles in inventory MUST be retrofitted before they can be sold. This link was provided by Jamie @ titanparts247.com.

So Tom-ADC, your truck should already have the updated seatbelts in it.

Here is the original thread on this subject.

That is the same truck that I want, but silver or smoke. How did you get the 18'' on the SE?

Amati5,
My dealer did the same thing. They had the seat back down while they replaced the anchors, then when they put them up, the vertical catch on the bracket on the rear wall wasn't quite lined up with the latch on the seatback. So they jambed it and it wrapped that vertical catch around to the side of the latch mechanism. I had to reach in there with a socket and take the whole bracket off the rear wall to get it free.

Faceoff, is your rear seat working the way it should after they damaged the the vertical catch? I have to bring my car back for other works and will let them fix it. I just hope they don't have to order new part b'cause I hate going back there.

This affects the 2005's as well

Well, I have a 2005 and am having a problem with one of the rear seatbelts as well. This is not just a 2004 model problem (maybe this is already known). The issue I was having last night is that I could not get the belt to retract after it was used. It was in a locked position. After about 10 minutes of pulling on it, etc, I was able to finally get unit to retract it, but I notice that when you pull it out it still wants to "lock" and not always retract it. When I take the truck into the dealer to get this fixed, are there any other 2005 Warranty issues that should be addressed?
Thanks,
Task

I'd be interested to know that answer to that one myself.... I thought Nissan had all the bugs out!!

The locking problem that I am having is like this...I put my 4 year old daughter in her booster seat (center), go to pull the seat belt out, only to have it locked in place. I have to lift up hard on it to get it to release. I have a similar problem with my driver seat belt. My other two back seat belts have yet to be used. I'm using the LATCH anchors for my infant daughter's infant seat (right side). The other side doesn't get used at all.
My middle rear seatbelt did the same thing (4 year olds spot), took it in they replaced it while I waited. Original visit was for free oil change. No problems since.
