DVD / Brake wire

I am going to install a new head unit with dvd. The instructions are vague on the brake wire to over ride the dvd. where is the easiest place to hook it up, or is there a way to over ride the brake, so it will play all the time?

What model of DVD player do you have?

Some are very easy and some are more difficult.

Just hook it up to the ground wire if you want to use the DVD player while driving.

That doesn't work on all makes and models. We need to know what the OP has to see what can be done.

I've done 2 different radios that way and both worked. Didn't know that some wouldn't work.
