the foglight "kits" that I have seen always include the turn signal stalk that has autolamps... well not everyone has auto headlamps and i thought it would be pretty dumb to have that option on my switch. So the correct part number for 2005 Titans with no auto headlamps and want to add foglamps is as follows - 25540-CA000 retails for about $65

sorry, should have been more clear... the part# above is for the turn signal stalk only! The kits I see on Ebay sell for $180 or you can buy them from courtesyparts.com for about the same price. (part# 999F1-A6000 which includes foglamps and stalk) but this includes the turnsignal stalk with the autoheadlamp feature. But doing further research, the foglamps sell for $95 individually, so unless you just deal with having an auto headlamp stalk and not having autoheadlamps, you are going to pay way more. sorry.

Do you know where or how much it is to upgrade to auto headlamps? It's just the sensor right?

Its been discussed, but no one has a friend with an LE to see what all is missing when compared to their SE/XE. One theor, which I do not agree with, is that you would have to have the brain reflashed and all this other junk. I think its probably a sensor and a wiring harness. I didnt have to have my brain reflashed to make my fogs work, or to get my windows to roll down after I installed vent visors (now I'm really being sarcastic on the windows part)...
I'd love to get it done, I wouldnt think it would be over $100 or so...
It does take some getting use to, I got the kit for X-Mas and it took some time to get use to turning the knob further to actually get the headlights on...

I was saying that I would think the sensor and harness would not be over $100...
I was sarcastically saying how some think that you would have to get the brain re-flased to make it work, I dissagree, but I could be wrong. It wouldnt be the first or last time...

hey guys!
ordered the sensor today. I cannot seem to find where the connector for the sensor is located. The manual I have shows the connector number and color but does not show it's location. I am hoping the sensor comes with a short harness that goes down under the dash somewhere. If it does not, the wiring diagram to the BCM is simple and I can see the wires at the proper locations in the BCM connector! Wiring it into then BCM connector will not be hard at all.
As for whether or not it will work, the BCM should recognize the sensor and start reading from it. If it does not, there is a procedure in the service manual to turn this feature on or off using the Nissan scan tool.
I will keep you informed as soon as I get it working!!!!!!

yeah, that was the thread I was referring too...
no one has found a friend with an le to trace it out to see if the le's have a special bcm...
I wouldnt think nissan would make a different bcm for one trim line, but I could be wrong, I guess the thought of how many vehicles have the 3.5v6 or a version of it would make me think they wouldnt have trim specific bcm's...

Just wondering if you got your sensor and had a chance to play with this. I am missing my autolamps from my "General" and would LOVE to have them back, already have my stalk as it came with my fogs. I would love an update, details, and of course PICS of it all. Waiting with baited breath... :coolsmile

Make sure that you use an alternate power wire connected throught a relay, not the one used to power the headlamps. The foglights don't use that much power so the headlight circuit wouldn't REALLY be overloaded but it is just a good practice. Connect the relay "switch" to the LOW BEAM WIRE for the headlamps, that way when you hit your high beams the fogs will go off just like they are supposed to.Dpol4 said:I bought an XE that has no fog lamp plugs, can those be purchased individually and hot wired to the headlamps?
