Has anyone out there that has changed wheels and tires on ther Titan had any vibration in there trucks? I had a set of 18 centerline Lexi III wheels with the factory goodyear gsa, and had vibration at 45 and 70mph. The tires were road forced on a hunter machine and everything was good before mounting. I ended up sending the wheels back to centerline and bought a set of factory LE wheels from another member and I am having the same problem. The truck ran fine with the XE wheels. Any ideas?

Probably just balancing once again...had the same with my Z and a couple of wheels/tires I tried...stockers no vibration...first set I tried went for balancing three times to no avail...got a different set and after two balancings they have no vibration.

Different wheels - same problem... same tires though. Humm

I know you had them balanced but maybe you should try swapping the fronts & rears, see if that changes anything.

I tried switching the front and rear with the centerlines and it did not help. I havent tried it with the LE wheels. I guess Ill try to get them balance again. Thanks for the replies, and keep them coming.

Balance first

Yea I second that it's probably the balancing. I'd been fighting the same issue on my subaru for a few weeks and even after 4 wheel alignment and balance it was still there. Took it to the dealer and they fixed it in 1 hour. Said the wheels were way out of balance. The shop I took it to previously was a large well respected chain that also uses the well respected hunter machine.

.....and sometimes, the wheels or tires are so out of round that they cannot be matched sufficiently to road force balance. you have to get new ones. the most recent hunter machines can tell you whether the tire or the wheel is out and how much. juma

I have had my tires balanced 4 times, rims replaced, and tires road forced and then replaced. After all that, I still have a vibration at45mph. One service guy road with me the other day and shifted the truck into 4th gear during the vibration and it actually stopped and road smoothly. Get it to vibrate and shift into 4th while it is doing it and it should stop. The dealer is having me come back next week. They think it is tranny problems.

Although these are factory wheels that I got of another member, they are not the originals on the truck. Does anyone think that the dealer will give me a hard time over this. I noticed after retorquing the lugs, it seems to have dulled the vibration at 45mph, but still exists at 70mph. Maybe its something Im doing wrong.

Well once again I had wheels and tires balanced and guess what....still vibrates. This place said that 35psi was too low for these tires. This is really starting to suck. I have also noticed that when cruising aroud 40mph and turning the wheel slightly back and forth, I can feel like a catch in the steering wheel. Almost like the teeth on a gear. I know in my Chevy the steering spline had to be regreased from the factory due to insufficient grease. Anyone think that this is a possibility.
