So I've been wanting to get an upgraded sound system in my Titan for a while, and finally got around to researching equipment, etc. :computern
ordered a RE Audio SEX10D4 and a Kenwood KAC-8105D to power it, along with a box from Tech12 to hold it.
still trying to find a headunit, and debating whether to upgrade my door speakers at the same time.....

torn between
Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD (AVHP4300DVD) 7" DVD Player USB, iPod, & Aux
and
Pioneer AVIC-Z130BT In-Dash Navigation with DVD/Bluetooth/MP3/USB/Pandora

I really want the unit of the second one, but don't really care about Bluetooth or Navigation.
I looked at the Kenwoods, but they just didn't look as clean as these two Pioneers.

Any thoughts?

If you have the money the second one would be pretty sweet but the first option is just as good if that makes sense Haha personally I would buy the first one and save the change for another mod I'd say

My personal opinion is get the second because I know I'm the kind of person that says... oh I can save some money and not get the top of the line.. then I start kicking myself in the *** later thinking I coulda should.. just my opinion.

That's a big price difference!

I know!! and I don't really know if the GPS, HD radio, and Bluetooth are really worth that much.... I really just want the higher resolution screen and HD radio.

Doh, I didn't look at the price went straight to the list of features. Ya screw that.. put that extra money toward other mods :)

I went through the same thing when I bought last years model (the 4200), and decided I didn't need all the extras.

My IPhone does GPS and has speakerphone. So didn't need Bluetooth. Besides you can buy add ons for that anyways. I vote the 4300!

also just realized that the more expensive one doesn't have an AUX input, and sometimes I use my Droid 3 for music.

4300 it is!!!

Thank you guys so much for your input!!!

any suggestions for door speakers? or will I even need them?

Based of my experience, Bose car speakers suck, pioneer and Rockford replacements are decent... I wouldn't bother if you don't plan on buying a seperated multichannel amp for aftermarket components.

That HU will make what you already have sound much better

I don't even know what that that means.... so I'm going to keep the stock speakers for now, and if need be, will upgrade later once my wallet recovers from this upgrade :p

I looked at that one, too, but it really wanted an all-touchscreen HU that would look super clean and symmetrical (I'm super anal about that. that's why I liked the stock HU, volume knob in the middle)
so I went with the 4300 :)

I had Infinity Kappa door speakers in my last truck & they sounded amazing!

also just realized that the more expensive one doesn't have an AUX input, and sometimes I use my Droid 3 for music.
That's a HUGE selling point for me! I always carry my own music wherever i go!!! :)

you should get me one too, and if you do Ill deliver it personally as their warehouse is about 5 min from me XD

So I ordered the sub and amp on Monday the 5th, and the Head Unit on the 6th from Sonicelectronix.com. I chose the free shipping, since I won't be able to do anything with my system until at least the 19th because finals are next week, and then there's the drive back to Arizona on Friday.
I just received an email saying everything has been delivered!! :D
all that's left is the box from Tech and installation at a local shop Tech suggested. studying is going to be difficult with this toy already at my house, waiting to be played with!!

Yea i'd be super stoked too! I want some audio in my T SO bad!!! I was looking at DD HU's at the store the other day. They are SO expensive!
