I have an 08 LE with 275/60/-20 tires. 2 wheel drive. Anybody got tire reccomendations? I'm looking at the Continental.

Seems like everybody wants bigger and badder. I just want a good tire that will last...and not break the bank.

Thanks

I recently got 305/50/20 Nitto 420s tires on OEM 20" wheels and love them! They're 32" tires, smaller than stock but more of a street tire than the stockers. Highly recommended!! Gives the truck a whole different feel and attitude than my 295/70/18 Trail Grapplers.

When it's time for me to get new tires I've been looking at the Cooper Discoverer ATP and Falken Rocky Mountain ATS. They are both available in 275/60/20 and I like the aggressive tread pattern.

I would probably go with the Cooper since they have a better wear rating and longer warranty.

I still have my stock rims and tires virtually new collecting dust in the garage. Tried and tried to sell them but no interest out here. Very few titans in my area and the ones i do see are lifted like mine. If you lived in washington I'd hook you up.

I have the stock size but went with Michelin M/S2. As of typing this, I have 67895 on them and will put prolly 15-25k more before I give them up. Then I will go with Michelins again. I have always had great luck with them and havent had any bad thoughts about them. Might try the A/T2's next time. Its what I put on the wifes Pathy and they are doing just as well as my M/S2's.

I just got ne wtires about 8k ago, 3 months. I went with the same as the origianl tire size, I did not want to loose torque and get worse mpg. I got the Big-O AT/ and are about 3/32 wear so far, I am not sure i am happy with that.

even if not bigger or badder tires, theyre still gunna run ya a pretty penny...20's aint cheap no more i looked at stock replacements along time ago and they were still in the 1000+ range.. so whats breaking the bank to you?..??...lol cuz that shatters my whole piggy bank. i still paid 1008$ for my falkens..no complaints on em.

I went with Firestone Destination LE tires in original size. I love them so far and have about 7k on them with NO signs of wear yet. They ride real well in wet or dry and have very little highway noise.
I have these same tires. Pretty happy so far.

The overwhelming majority of people keep their original tire size. Even on this site I'd bet it's 75% of all the registered users have original tires sizes. I can't realistically drive a truck 100+ miles a day with some huge-azz tires. Not only could I not afford the gas, I couldn't afford the tires!

No doubt a $1000 is what your looking at just got some Nitto Crosstexs seem to be a good and original sizes.

I don't have 20's, but my last set of tires (Toyo H/T's stock size) lasted me about 75,000 miles and I still had about 4/32 tread left when I changed them. They were great tires that I wouldn't hesitate to buy again if I wanted an on-road/highway tire.

I'm absolutely going with the stock 20" size when it's due for a replacement. Mine's a 2wd street truck whose main purpose is to shuttle my family around. The motorcycle is where I plan on spending money on tires, every 3K miles.
