I'm going to most likely just lurk on TitanTalk from this point on and just PM a few people on this forum from time to time.
Sorry that some of us like to have more fun with our trucks in ways that differ from what others think we should be doing. Street racing is illegal and I also don't condone it. If you want to know what's faster, pick up a Car and Driver or Motor Trend and flip to the performance indicies and see what gives if you just want to know. Otherwise, go to a sanctioned track.
As far as the moderator(s) now stating that threads comparing performance are possibly going to be deleted and the fact that said moderator has already started throwing weight around about something I happen to like to do, I guess I'll restrain from anything performance oriented from this point on. For consistency's sake, I'm wondering if the threads on the upcoming supercharger releases are going to also be deleted since the view here is that any kind of racing (legal or not) is stupid, immature, and trying to build someone's manlihood and a supercharger, therefore, serves no good purpose. Maybe the Performance section should go away other than discussing gas mileage or something.
I won't go into a namecalling spat with anyone but picking the titan as the "off-road" vehicle makes about as much sense to me as to those who don't think going to the track and mashing the pedal down is the best vehicle for the job. Or for towing, for that matter when a diesel flat kills us in towing capacity and gas mileage (on the newer trucks). I haven't done anything to anyone here that deserves the kind of mental image some of you seem to be so short-sighted on labeling a few of us that like to go to the track from time to time. If you think that Endurance 5.6 came from something other than racing technology.....
In any event, I'm just a little put off by some of the postings and now some of the moderation (it was getting better until this). I think that TT is a great place to garner information on these trucks, but a few opinionated people sure can ruin it. I'll still drop in to see what's going on but just like I switch the channel when I don't like what's on TV, I can do the same here.
Take it easy all and flame away, I know some can't or won't resist.
