I want to try eliminating the driver side rattle, squeek in the door area, using the felt tape under the weatherstripping theory. On the ClubArmada thread they do show some pictures but the KC looks differerent with the weathersripping running the whole oval opening, I can't find a stop and start point. Does anyone have any detailed pictures or instructions, showing where to pull off the weatherstripping?

Are you talking about the window channel??

If you have the squeak or rattle only when the window is up, just take the window channel out and spray the back of it with silicone and put it back in place.

I just started in one of the upper corners and pulled it out. Comes pretty easy once you get it started. Goes back in easy too. Done mine about one month ago and the squeaks haven't returned yet. Takes about 5 minutes to do it. Try the silicone spray, it worked for me so far. Won't harm anything either.

It's all rubber so you won't break anything. That why it squeaks.

KJ, I have the squeak you have and have tried felt on the door ... didn't work for me. They are working on a TSB for this problem according to NISSAN1 as well as my service person who talked to the techies in California (as in, it's been confirmed via two different sources). So for now, I'm just turning the volume up :(

If it's in the window channel, the spray silicone should cure it. It did mine.

I had the door panel off the other day and did'nt see anything obvious, I put some
Fat Mat on some areas, did'nt help either. I bet it's somewhere in that weatherstriping. I half-a@$d sprayed some silicone around the top part of the window channel today and that did'nt work. Waiting for an official TSB is probably the best before trying the felt under the weatherstriping. I'm not comfortable going to my dealer until there's a TSB out.

I tried the half a$$ method before and it didn't work but after I removed the window channel and sprayed the back it worked. You have to get the silicone in the grooves where it seats in the frame. I got the idea from the service tech where I bought the truck. That's what they have been doing.

i will give that a try...thanks

The stealer contacted Nissan about this on my truck and Nissan told them it was a special order part, that this is a problem with some of the trucks and the dealer says, TSB. I just got my postcard from the dealer telling me it's here. I am also waiting for a lower cushion cover for my drivers seat. When I have it installed, I will post an update.

i actually ordered the parts for the TSB to do myself and I'm waiting on them to do the silicone spray...i hope this work...that one rattle drives me nuts...

nope didnt work....time to tell nissan about it again on friday

You must have a different rattle than mine. Silicone solved mine so far.

ok I tried the silicone fix and it seems to work for a day or two and then comes back. Noe one other rattle I had that I was able to fix was at the top of the window. I'll try to make sense. This is done at the top of the door.If you look at the weatherstrip you can see where the window rolls up into the channel in the weatherstrip. Now on the inside of that strip consider how if the weatherstrip was not tight enough the window could rattle inside of it. So what I did was place some thin strips of foam tape behind the weatherstrip so that that when the window rolled all the way up into it there would be a tighter fit.
