Hello everyone this is my first time on the forum. I just bought a BDGT and will be installing it tomorrow. Is there any clear instructions on how to install it? Also, how do u remove the WOT? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you have the instructions just follow them. It is straight forward. I tapped the power into my power seat fuse with a fuse tap. Seriously consider buying a ram mount from TAP. It is far superior to the window mount. TAP has a thread a few below this one with install instructions.

As far as the WOT, you will find it when programming. Also consider doing the 2 degree timing advance. It makes a difference.

Any more questions just holler.

^^ what he said and invest in the ram or blend mount. You will have a smile on your face after install and wot removal.

From the driverside behind the stereo to the passenger side fuse box

it was the most easiest thing iv ever did it walks you right through it comes up do you want to a just WOT yes restricted or unrestricted yes on unrestricted and thats it one thing if you do move your timing i would let the truck run for 10-15 min like i did or drive around the block let it get to running temperature some say it wont work if the motor is cold hope this helps

AND make sure you have a FULLY charged battery.

RAM Mount Install

It's pretty basic even without the mount for installation. Uploading or changing the programs is pretty basic.

If you need the Ram Mount and HDMI Cable
yeah thats a big one if it lets you get in to tuning and your batterie dies it could mess up your computer my batterie was not fully alive so i hooked up a charger to be sure you should love this tuner i love my bdpp you will hit red lines easy now i know i did

The most difficult part of the install is the stuff on the computer. You have to register it and download the tune before you go installing, BUT IIRC, you have to hook it up to the truck first to upload the VIN info to the BDGT. Then you go back inside and hook it up to the computer and update the software and do online registration. Then back outside to the truck for the final install. The instructions aren't really clear on that.

Did you mean MPG or MPH?

Do the 2° advance. I have throttle sensitivity at "Performance" or whatever the 2nd from quickest is. I did the 93 tune even though I use 91 ethanol free whenever I can.

Mileage is better but that might be other mods or just the truck getting broken in...or the fact that I drive like a ninny a lot of the time.

Guys I changed to 93 tune the other day and the wife and I went to Natchitoches, La to see the Christmas lights and I achieved 21.17 mpg (hand calculated) running about 125 miles down I-49 at 65mph. I had just filled up and reset the bdgt mpg average before getting on interstate and the average was 19 mpg on the tuner. I have always calculated about 1 mpg more than the bdgt reading when putting the numbers to it. My mods are in my signature and this is the best mpg I have ever recorded. This was 10% ethanol also. I have noticed that the 93 tune on my T is a lot better on mpg than the 87 tune.

You'd think with the technology we have these days, we could figure out how to get a 4WD get the same mileage as a 2WD....

Dang, Nightowl, I figured you'd be running an UpRev tune with LTs. Guess the BDGT is working for you then. FFV helps I guess. Have you checked WOT AFRs yet with the 93 tune?

Yes it was 12.24 93 tune and 12.10 stock tune at the dyno with the sniffer in the tailpipe. I know uprev would be better but I already had the bdgt and could not justify uprev when my afr's were so close to target and with power made and mpg obtained by the ole Cajun titan.

What grade of gas are you using?

93 octane with 10% ethanol, I have got better average mpg with non ethanol gas but this is the best I have ever seen.
Ok thanks. I thought you would probably get detonation otherwise.

To think I got doubted on 20.9 mpg running similar speeds from San Antonio to Fort Worth.
