Bees Are Bad

With in the past few hours today I seemed to have aquired a colony of honey bees. They are less than 10 feet from where I park my truck. Any suggestions on how to get rid of them? They are currently building some type of nest. I can't see exactly what it is because there are layers ontop of layers of bees and they won't let me get near it. The current size of it is about 8" long and about 3"-4" in girth.
