anyone know where I can get one from?

to save some money on my exhasut reinstall--so they dont have to redo the pipes

I need

1) a 2.5" inlet to either-------2.5" or 3" outlet

any ideas

im looking at either a borla single in dual out muffller, or a aero turbine muffler this go round :)

Go AT3030. I love mine.

Another dealer:

I just found about this company from another thread but since only 20 minutes from my house, will definitely be paying them a visit. Will give feedback.

thx guys I have been looking all over for these darn things

I thought flowmaster had a high end 2.5---3" y pipe somewhere??
They do, but don't know if you can order it direct. Someone on this site had a custom Flowmaster exhaust done and the shop ordered the y-pipe from Flowmaster. So you may have to have a muff shop that sells Flowmaster order it for you, or try calling them direct. I now have the Flowmaster cat-back kit and the y-pipe is very nice (2.5"X3"). With my previous AeroTurbine system, I had my shop custom fab a y-pipe for about $150. Not mandrel-bent, but 300% better than stock pipe.

Neither Banks or Gibson will part with their precious y-pipes apart from their cat-back kits.......I know, cuz I tried.

Here's a pic showing a custom made y-pipe that you can show to your muff shop if you want to go that route. It's 2.5"X3".

how much was that custom y pipe?

It was about $150, installed. They had it fabbed in less than 20 mins.

Those are nice Flowmaster y-pipes. This would be the way to go if you can't get the mandrel-bent cat-back y-pipe section from Flow. $40 for a 2.5"X3" y-pipe, plus a couple custom-bent pipes from the cats.....you'd prob still be around what I paid for mine and have a better y-pipe than the one I had made up.

either the

Why the change? I just saw the cut away view of the stock exhaust so now I got to put an exhaust on my truck.

I get bored thats all

and the 5x11 I have (before i had a 5x8) maganflow is a little too tame and I dont like the kick back sound it has when you hit the gas hard

that "kick back" per say is on all the magnaflow go check the sound clips on thhe website

Have you seen the new Edelbrock SDT mufflers? They look similar to the Flowmasters in design, except they have semi-circular baffles instead of the "delta" design.

and man that suburban sounds nice :)

id have to use two though since the design of the bodies

becasue the inlets are not centered (as my aftermarket pipes are set up) Id have to get two single mufflers, and or the single in/dual out

Check the pdf file, they have several centered/offset/dual options. Those shown on that page are only a few examples.
