Well some of your may have seen my thread about getting 2 sets of dented ARIES SS oval bars http://www.titantalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23684

I got the third set today and guess what............ YEP f&^%$# DENTED TOO !!

I had been dealing with a Nate from T-REX who went so far as to offer me something for free from there site...... I asked for a billet grill for my troubles and Nate said OK (he wanted me to pay $30 bucks for it at first). So the 3rd set came today and as I said both of the Aries rails were dented.

SO after calling T-REX and talking to Nate and sending him pic's and waiting for him to call back................ he says "three strikes and your out I guess". So he doesnt seem to get the fact that these things are coming damaged from the FACTORY (DAYM MIDDLEMEN!!!)

I told him if TREX couldnt send me a set that wasnt damaged........ then I guess I dont want the bars................ AND HE HAS THE B@**s TO tell me that I have to send back the "free" billet grill because I'm canceling my order.!!! :futwice: :fu:

After going thru the process of repacking and being home for UPS to pick up ALL 3 DAMAGED steprail packages....... he wants me to send back the grill.

I hope ekool and the uppity ups read this because T-REX has a crappy way of treating customers.......... AND they advertise here on TT.

Nate can :eek:ral: me cuz I aint gonna get :banasex0r by TREX !

Peace :gossip:

Maybe I am missing something...how is this T-REX Motorsports fualt? I mean they come shipped from the factory...Most online sellers don't stock anything...just some person running a middleman bussiness from his cp at home...lots of vendors give HTML code such as Aries, Westin and most others just to load on your website. He was nice enough to give you a grill and then you want a refund...Hell I would ask for the grill back also, probably come out of his own pocket. I had the smae problem a few months ago....I didn't blame the website or ask for anything extra becuase I knew the problem was Westin.....

Send the crap back...keep the grille, and notify your credit card company just so you're protected on that end. Is the grille on an invoice? If so, does it say "free" or "0.00"?

No its not on an invoice........ but I bet they would hold my refund until its returned...(btw their cost on the grill is $84)

First off I never asked for anything extra. secondly this whole circus production has been going on for a month. It took TREX almost a week for TREX to respond to my initial emails. I never wanted to cancel my order.... I was kinda left with no other options when Nate said "3 strikes and your out".

All I wanted was a set of UNDAMAGED steprails....... and I guess Im asking for too much.

I would also be upset......What does Aries have to say about this problem?

If its on your CC, why are you waiting for a refund? Notify the CC company, explain the problem, I'll bet they will handle it by giving the CC a credit.

Punch them in the mouth. It works for me. You'd be surprised at how far a punch in the mouth will get ya. :p
I assure you that your original post is all the "punch in the mouth" that company will need. Word of mouth can ultimately spell demise.

I seems that a lot of EBay sellers have the attitude that once they sell it, they could care less if it is right. "monstersilvia" selling Magnaflow cat-back systems is another one to beware of.

What are you thinking about regarding the feedback you're going to leave TRex? This hits them where they live and normally they'll do most anything to avoid getting negative feedback. Someone said it's not TRex's fault since the steps are being drop shipped from the factory, BUT, TRex is the guy hawking them on Ebay, so they are responsible for a satisfactory transaction. It wouldn't matter to me if it took 7 or 10 tries to get it right. To say "3 times and that's it" is just plain irresponsible and bad business.

Heres the feedback I left, I would have left more but I ran out of space !!!

Cant send a product that isnt damaged! Save your $ and buy elsewhere. BAD!!!

:readclose

I paid thru paypal. I filed a claim thru them even though Nate said he was putting in for a refund.

It really pisses me off, I had to be sure someone was here to accept all 3 packages from TREX and then I had to repackage all three damaged steprails and I had to have someone here to give the damaged steprails (all 3 sets) to UPS to be shipped back!! :ftard:

That sucks.. I've had good luck buying things on ebay since 1998. You'd think they could send something new undamaged from the factory!

It seems like you cannot blame "Nate" or T-Rex for what happens either during shipping or from the factory. T-Rex has a really good eBay reputation and seemingly has gone out of their way to make sure you have been taken care of. Could it be that they will not send another set of bars to avoid giving you more grief?

Hmmmm call me Sherlock Holmes but ALL three of TitanGods posts since joining in March............. have been about ARIES step rails AND/OR how they came from t-rex in fine shape.... hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Anywho......... T-Rex has alot of positive comments on ebay..... and some negatives....... since they wanted to make me "happy" by sending me a freebie (which I cant keep cuz I cancelled my order) ..... it makes me wonder how many other people were "shut-up" with free stuff.

Hey Nate, errr I mean Titangod, T-rex sent me an e-mail telling me that they went to Aries and were working with them to improve quality control and that they in fact were going to stock the steprails so they can be inspected and shipped direct from the T-Rex warehouse. Sounds to me like they are still full of SH**!

Here is the e-mail that was sent (note the bad grammer);

Dear Greg,

We have takes several steps to solve this problem with ARIES. We have begun stocking their bars and not having them ship out for us. We are also eliminating UPS from the matter as well. We have had far fewer problems with the ARIES bars we ship with FedEx than the ones we have shipped with UPS. Again thank you for your willingness to take time out of your day to let us know some things that we can work on. We need more feedback like this, so we can iron out the problems.

Let me guess, all the replacments have shipped UPS, right?

FU** them, keep the grille, and get your money back!!!!
