I'm sure it's already been mentioned but what day are you going to the track to see the difference?!
He's going this Friday or I'm hiring a repo man to come to Cali, steal the truck, run it down the 1/8 and return to his house:)

In all reality, Firelifes truck makes my T look like its draggin a set of steel king kong nuttz behind it, just sayin. Firelife's titan is a beast, it looks as if it pulls just as hard from 20-60 as it does from 60-100mph.

Can't wait to see some sea level and Good DA runs!

Fire and Tug racing off into the distance at a mile above sea level and horrible DA...and in FST.




ANd mine going backwards at sea level in 700da or so with a 41* temp out.




The all motor route is looking very promising. Especially considering how FL's truck has 158K miles on it. VK56 gets better with age!
 
No lottery, but FL's truck is missing a few things. I could take him lol. I promise you, I will be back in a Titan, racing again, I just dont know if it will be this vehicle, or the next one. I will say one thing, someone mentioned FL's truck has 158k miles? I was looking at 100k or less trucks, bet I could find a smoking deal on a 100k+ truck. Whatever I decide, I will likely buy a couple mods first, before I have the payments. Also, a vehicle is coming sooner then later due to our house hunting endeavors.
 
Yeah dude there are tons of 07+ titans for sale. Get u an 07+ King Cab XE with power windows and locks and mod the piss out of it.

You"ll have 2.94s, get a tru trac, some JBAs,Cajun 2.5s catless, a true 4in CAI, vibrant 2.5/3.5 Y pipe. Borla XR1, Uprev of course and remove all the weight u can. You will have a 13.4-13.6 titan without breakin the bank.

Do a shift kit and transcooler. LP mod.

You should weigh around 4800-4900 and still sporting A/C.

I mean look at Gweasel running 13.5s and he's a non CVTCS. If I could do it over again I would do the above.
 
Gweasel was always a tenth or 2 back from me, but now he has the FT and 90mm CAI. I've already checked these out=)

Well they arent showing up, but an 08 at 90k miles for around 10.8k and an 07 with 77k miles for 11.5k

LOL, keep dreaming. I know what you need for some better runs, but I will use them for myself if that day comes=)
Oh trust me....I know exactly what else I need....and when the wallet opens back up I will have everything needed!!!! :kiss:

Holy Crap! What for another 5 g's my truck can do That! ( yeah right!) if I only had a flux capacitor!
 
Lol its not 5,000 for cams,tuning,install. Maybe 2600-3000 for everything said and done. You'd spend that just getting a used stillen SC kit that you'lll still have to dump another $2000-3000 to make it worth while and you will still be slower than firelifes truck lol.

And spinning the VK56 to 7000rpm isn't as bad as some may think. Its only there for a second or so. And what's amazing is how well the fuel system (stock) is holing up.

The rotating assembly in stock form is better suited for high rpm vs boost. Just not both.

Firelifes truck has opened a lot of doors for the titan world.

Think back on the VH45's from the early 90s, those engines spun up to 7400rpm with just a tune to raise rev limit and valve spring upgrade.

I think the stigma of the VK56 being in a truck it shouldn't spin that high. The VK56VD has same rods/pistons but revs to 6500-7000 in stock form.

The VK56 is a pretty stout engine, it just wasn't designed for boost.

Naturally aspirated is where the VK shines.
