DIY grill install took about 3 hours to complete. Used the metal mesh from Home Depot and painted it with etching primer and Rustoleum black bedliner. I also installed my chrome inserts in my wheels. What do you think??

Your truck looks great man, great color! It's amazing how much better these trucks look tinted out and the gray looks sick with black trim. Great job on the grill too, this might be in my very near future.
There are two DIYs in that thread. One is for the badgeless grille and the other is for the mesh grille mod.

Yes, you use the original inside frame. You just have to cut out the grill part with a hand saw or sawzall. Took a little time but it wasn't too bad. The hardest part is cutting the mesh to fit.

I saw the two different mods. I want to do the same on the OP did. I didn't realize there were multiple pieces, I thought it is all one molded piece. Seems like if you cut out the OEM mesh there isn't anything left. I will look at it this weekend. Thanks y'all.
