Thought I would finally join in and show some pics.
Just finished with installing the grill I got from Dunder, I think it looks great, had to do a little cutting but no that bad.
The others are my Subs, amp and HU (Ddx-7015) that I finished last weekend.

Enjoy

Thanks for posting my grills

Thanks for posting my grill set, sorry about having to cut the emblem out. It's the only way they'll install though. Looks pretty sharp. I just got the grill cutouts drawn up in autocad, so I'm going to start doing some different designs.
Thanks again for posting you grill, Dan.

P.S. I'd post some pics, but I still can't upload anything for some reason.

Its nice but I'll stick with my Eclipse...
What befefits does the Eclipse have over the Kenwood? They both seem about the same to me.
Also, Where is the best place to buy from?

There are many threads on this that you can do a search on and find what you need.

Here is why I took a Kenwood over the Eclipse:

Satellite ready
Plays CD RWs with MP3s. Eclipse only plays CDRs.

those were deal breakers for me, however, do some research and im sure you can come to your own conclusion.

Back on topic. If I didnt see the 4x4 controls i would swear that this is my Titan. Looks great! :D

is that a custom or a bought sub box?

ps - i'm running the same sub - 10" RF. only one though, which is plenty for the Pat Green & Roger Creager! :)

Thanks for the kind words guys!
I agree with Raggedog69 about why I bought the Kenwood, I already had the Sat Receiver from a previous install so the Kenwood was the obvious choice - and I have been pretty happy with Kenwood over the past five years (Three vehicles), so I'm familiar with the install and set-up, as well as how Kenwood thinks. this made getting used to the new HU much easier.

Titan4x4Aggie: That is a custom box(s) I made using the design someone posted on the forum (sorry I forget his name) then I took one of our dash speaker grills to a fabric store and got upholstery to match - it is damn close. Overall I'm very happy with the set-up and install, looks good IMHO!

Dunder: No problem posting the pics, if you would like I can send you some for advertising use if you would like. I'm really happy with the look and quality - Thanks!
Keep us posted on whatever else you come up with.

Big Tite: I got my HU on-line, if you do a search in Google you will find them and some good prices. Good luck!

Digging up this old post cause I really like the eclipse.

The new eclipse also plays DVD's

Kenwood is junk, they don't stand by their products and the overall quality is horrible. THey tend to have flashy products that really don't hold upthat well. Kenwood excelon is alot better but still not in the same class as eclipse.

Eclipse is hard to beat in the quality department. It's like comparing the titan to an F150. They are both the same thing right?

Now yes, there is worse than kenwood, they make some ok... stuff. I have a pair of their components and they sound great. however I would not be suprised if they blew up any moment and Kenwood would not even help me to get the new flush mount rings for the tweeters after I pulled them from my last vehicle. The SQ with kenwood HU's is crap compaired to eclipse IMO. I believe eclipse split off of alpine a while back, eclipse being the better quality product of the 2, and alpine being the cheaper of the 2. This is when alpine was top notch. Alpine is still good today IMO, but again eclipse is the superior product.

Both HU's look great with the doubledin Console!

scsTitan, can you send a link to the box diagram? how much airspace does it have and what does it look like with the seat down?

I have used Autocad in the past but have never been able to get in it. This just puzzles me.

Spider web grill made by Autocad

Autocad is a great tool if you know how to use it. I'm making new grills all the time, the only problem is getting them laser cut in a timely matter. Here's what my new spider web grill would look like.
Later all, Dunder Dan.
