in a magazine article on the 4" lift kit for the titan it says that it keep the factory steering geometry and most everything stays in line it even said that it will not wear out any of the factory parts sooner. and if you need to go bigger than a 4" lift just get this one and a body lift, its much better for the truck and it looks good too

Does the oem skid plate has to be removed? in the link that squid provides, it says a part number for the rancho skid plate, is it an option r does it come with the lift kit?

as far as i know, the rancho skid plate is optional. Im not sure but my guess would be that the oem skid plate will work fine. I think either procomp or fabtech offers one of there skid plate for there lifts also, but the oem skids work fine.

just reviving this thread!!

Anybody out there have installed this lift kit yet?

Anyone heard anything about the 4" Rancho lift kit lately? Are they available for purchase? How are they quality wise? ANYTHING?
two month ago at the 4Wheel parts fest in San Diego they were selling that kit installed for $1197.00. The only reason I Didn't get it was because they (Rancho) didn't have a truck on display and there wasn't much info avail at the time. I ended-up getting the PC stage II. If you thinking serously about getting the Rancho lift I would consider getting it at the 4wheel parts truck fest you can get a hell of a deal + discounted or free installation.

I've given up on waiting

I've called and spoken to Rancho and have had vendors do the same.

It's all WAIT WAIT WAIT.

They've been having problems w/ the steering knuckles somtimes they say it's an outside vendor that's delayed it other times it's a problem with the design.

Last I heard and this was Friday of last week - 30-45 days.

Now the other issue I read about here is the new RSX9000XXX shock that are a choice in shocks for this kit are also delayed.

So even if the kit was out - I'd be waiting for the XXX shocks to go with it.

It's just not worth it anymore - I'm going to go ProComp. I called them about the problems they were having with their coil overs and it's a "found problem" w/ some Titan components - I think the A Arm not being identical in all models so there has to be an adjustment made at the time of installation or you get the "noise". They won an award at SEMA for design and w/ the coilovers and the MX6's in the rear it's a hell of a set up.

Going back to Rancho...Also - The skid plate is optional - but I would say worth it - It does look bad *** - although God only knows if that's going to
be delayed too.

Oh yeah, i had forgot about this post. I think that my decision as of right now is that i want to wait and buy the Procomp or Fabtech lift a little later. I really want the height to be able to clear 37"s and with the rancho and a body lift, i wouldn't be able to do that. Im also holding out till i can figure out how to eliminate the axle wrap issue.
