We just returned from our weekend trip to Dawson City, YT. The truck truely AMAZED us!!!! NO problems at all, we towed over 1000 miles almost all of it through the mountains. We were pulling grades between 9% and 15%, the truck was wonderful. My husband, who has hated the Titan since day one, has COMPLETELY changed his tune, he was blown away by how great the truck was!! He said he was VERY impressed.

We managed a respectable 9.3 mpg towing from Dawson City, YT to Tok, AK, that's 90% mountains with most of it uphill. Our TT weighed in around 5500 lbs loaded up, the truck didn't even blink. It had tons of power left and was happy to work.

I'm SOOOOOO glad we didn't trade it in, the Titan has completely changed our minds, its a great truck!!!! I think she will stick around for quite a while, just amazing, truely a GREAT truck!!!

Woohoo! You go girl!

Glad to hear the good news from you about your trip!-

Yes I did, almost traded my baby for a 2005 Yukon XL 3/4 ton. I am SOOOOOO glad we thought about it first. The truck proved us soooo wrong this weekend, she proved that she IS the amazing tow vehicle I knew she could be. No regrets on keeping her that's for darn sure!!!

glad you hear you have a renewed love for your titan

I think it's great to hear a positive story about our trucks. We often find ourselves spending too much time pointing out its hiccups, therefore forgetting what a fantastic truck it really is.

Great news, about time you had somthing go right. Did the tranny temp go up any at all?? If so how hight did it go?
I'm guessing you left it in 4th gear with all those up's and down's?
See ya..........

The tranny temp got a little above normal on the grades, but hubby would just downshift the shifter and it would cool back down. He learned to use the gated shifter on all the grades, the truck really liked that, both up and down. On the flat we towed in O/D, usually running 1600 rpms at 55 mph or so. The truck was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I can't say enough good about the Titan, really blew us away. We were ready to give up on this truck, but not now, she will be with us for a long time now.

This is all so great to hear because the wife and I are talking about getting a TT this year. We have been a bit concerned about the towing but it sounds like we shouldn't be. VERY COOL!!!!

Great Stuff!! Glad you kept it! Going to be towing my 5500 lb TT this weekend, but only 200 miles. It has handled it easily before. This time i installed a WD hitch. Last time I went 400 miles without one and it was still okay. Just feel better with one.
