I will try to get this all done as soon as possible. I need to see how much money I get for my Wheels and Tires (Alcoa) from my old Dodge 3500 Dually.

They should be sold by Saturday. I will order the Banks Exhaust first, any left over funds will go to the PMLI Diff cover. I will try to install everything as soon as possible. Unfortunately I am going to be traveling for work in the next couple of weeks. I will post as soon as I can.

:evillaugh

Vector I am up in the air. I cannot decide what to do. One part of me says I don't need a sway bar, one says I don't need a diff cover, and the other says I need both. I plan on using my truck rather hard and I feel like I need it all. I hate to use you as the guinea pig but if you are willing I will thank you now.

I am not sure I can wait though, I may be order both tomorrow morning. I will keep you updated.

Well I took it through this set of s-curves by the house and the body roll is much, much less. I really had to crank through there to get any kind of roll in the rear. The front is definitely rolling more than the rear. Feels kinda weird, but in a good kind of way.

Does it feel like it wants to oversteer a bit more? Usually a fat rear bar will get the vehicle pretty loose. I suppose it's more "neutral" than loose, though.

It doesn't feel like oversteer, to me at least. It's more that you can feel the front wanting to understeer when pushing because it feels softer.

Any opinions on installing this on a 4X4? How do you think it will affect, say, driving on dirt/washboard roads?? That is a great price, and I'm thinking about going for it, but I don't want to be bouncin' all over the place on dirt roads. Should make the driving through the twisties much more fun, though!

Thanks, Head, for all the info!

Installing on a 4x4

Mine should be here any day now, I have a 4x4 with the Off Road Package, I will post pics once I install it, I will let you know how it handles after it is on.

Thanks, Vector....I'm sure this will be helpful to all of us with 4WD that are considering this mod.

Any thoughts as to this working with the 1" PRG rear lift? I know, I want the cake and....eating it too.
It should work, although the roll bar will be tilted up because the length of the push/pull rods will effectively be shortened.

I'm guessing the roll stiffness would change, and it wouldn't be quite as stiff.

I'm quite impressed with the general automotive knowledge on this board

I have yet to see any "what does this do posts".

Also, several people have CORRECTLY pointed out that increasing the rear roll stiffness of a vehicle will cause more load transfer in the rear. Because tires are NOT linear in their lateral grip in relation to load, the increased load transfer in the rear will result in less grip in the rear vs. the front, resulting in an OVERSTEER / less UNDERSTEER situation.

You may think "well, less grip means less cornering power, what gives???". Because there will be less roll, there will be less camber change in the front, resulting in a larger contact patch for the front and more grip. If the truck seems too loose, get a front ARB, or bigger rear tires.

As a note, this mod (assuming the bushing mounts aren't over-tightened) should NOT effect rear ride height, or performace in two wheel bump. Only roll stiffness (on and OFF road) and one wheel bump will be effected.

I would get this mod, but it is somewhat contradictary to have more / bigger ARB's on an OFFROAD truck (which I have). Less roll = less wheel articulation = less offroad performance.

Just my $0.02 - hope this helps any questions yall might have.

I am with you, loads of smart folks on this site. I keep trying to figure out why I keep coming back to a forum day in and day out.....that is about one damn truck. I mean the truck is cool, but it must be the interesting people here that keep me facinated with it.

I hear you on the off road situation.....I wish I had that problem, but live in the city and rarely get stretch the suspension that way. As it is I have a friend with an STI and another with an M3......best bet is not losing site of them on pavement.

Hey Rocky you better check those pics of this anti-sway bar because there may be a fit issue with the Flowmaster dual kit. Primarily with the driver's side exhaust pipe. Maybe the pipe can be adjusted to bring it up closer to the spare tire.

Yeah, I know. I was thinking about that when someone else mentioned clearance on the Borla, which has a similar cross-over section like our Flowmaster kits. It looks like it'd be really close....maybe too close!

i dont understand why either of those kits are designed like that. just doesnt look right...
Yea I was going to say the same thing........it looks as if it would cause a huge problem when dropping the spare.

It clears the spare...barely.

First tow with the Hellwig

Well on Friday I hooked up the trailer to the Titan and pulled the car for the first time since installing the Hellwig. I have to say that I am very pleased with the results. Taking off ramps and on ramps no longer feels like the trailer is going to push the rear end out from under me.

The truck is now very stable with trailer in tow. I love it. I must say that I am disappointed that Nissan did not include this with the Big Tow option. It should be a factory standard item for towing.

If you have a good sized trailer and have wondered why the rear of the Titan seems to be doing things it shouldn’t, Its because you are missing this little gem of a part.

Its a vast improvement when cornering without a trailer, but with a trailer in tow, its priceless.

I just ordered my sway bar a little while ago and thought I would mention that Hellwig has the little single half leaf spring helper that averyone is buying at local parts stores. Nancy is selling them to members at a discount for $30 and they have the same warranty as the swaybar does. :D
