Hey guys,
My first post! please be gental.

First let me say thank you all for all of the information here. After a lot of research on this site and others I decided that it was time to move from a Chevy Silverado to a Nissan Titan. WOW I had made the switch sooner!
I picked up the truck last Saturday and cannot believe how well made this truck is.

But I do have a question; can anyone tell me how to lock the sliding bed extender into the truck? it seems that all anyone would have to do to steal it is walk up and take the thing out . I have been trying to come up with a fix of my own, but have not had any luck yet.

Any help is appreciated, and thanks again.

I still use that lock on my extender. I did try the bike lock at first but it didnt give me enough movement. That is why I went with the cable. It has a full range of movement. I can even take it out and set it on the ground next to the truck without unlocking it if needed so I can load other things. Good luck what ever you choose!

I use a cable lock as well. Also, make sure the end caps to prevent the extender from sliding off the rails are on real tight and always lock your tailgate. I also have a lockable hard tonneau that adds one more layer of security for the bed extender. Anything that slows em down will help persuade them to move on to an easier target.

Hey, where can i get the brackets for the sliding bed extender. Does anybody have the brackets for sale. I need both of the brackets to attach the extender to the rails to slide in. Thanks
:eh: Sayyyyyy, why would you have the extender, but no mounting brackets? :paranoid:

I have the sliding extender but no brackets because i purchased it on ebay and the idiot that sold it to me did not send them and later did not even reply. These brackets are not available for purchase alone, but rather come with the entire extender package. This is why I want to know if anyone has any or knows where I can find some.

what i did was move the stopers right next to the bed extender so if you try to slide it you cant unless you have like a 10mm wrench to unscrew the stoppers, and then lock the tailgate..

My lockable Retrax keeps mine nice and safe. :)

Actually, I'm still waiting on the goofs who sold me the Retrax to mail me the correct mounting bracket replacement knobs so I can reinstall the stupid thing.
