I'm sure it won't blow a rear differential doing it. :jester:
Titans don't either. There have been only a small amount with rear end problems. In fact, look at Ford, Dodge or GM sites, every make has had blown rear ends. Most of us hauling heavy trailers have no complaints. Toyota hasn't been able to tow 10k LBS yet. Their bound to join the club too.

We have to remember that the Tundra was plagued with problems!! Nothing wrong with sticking with your Titan's, its a decent truck. Has for HP/TQ it has been confirmed to be 350-380hp around 400tq according to the engine designer. What's going to make the Tundra a huge seller just like the current Tundra is reliability and the number of configurations you can get the truck. You can count on this truck doing everything it was designed to do just like current Toys. I'm sure it will have problems just like any first year vehicle. I know I miss my Titan everyday. The interior don't have to be luxury but it does need to be durable. The Titan's interior is not durable no MATTER which way you slice it. We will have to wait and see but being a Toyota it will sell more trucks then Nissan would ever dream!

Huge seller? Certainly not the current Tundra. At just over 91k units sold between 9/04 and 9/05, HUGE isn't the word I'd use. Now 695k units for the F-series is huge.

I would really be surprised if the new Yota has the problems the new Titan had, say what you will but Toyota makes some very good trucks. The Titan is a blast to drive compared to anything in its class but when you drive it back to back to the other trucks in its class it does not give you the feeling that its put together as well as the other trucks but I will always choose a sporty feel over refinement. If Toyota can put the sporty feeling in this truck then they will have something because when it comes to giving you the feeling of something being put together well they are hard to beat. Not beating up on the Titan because as of right now their is nothing I would trade my truck for but if Toyota can put alittle thrill factor in their I just might.

When it comes time to trade in a few more years i'll do what I always do. Go out and test drive them all, do my research and try to purchase the best truck for my hard earned money.

If the Tundra looks to be the best truck at the time , then I may be driving another Toyota. If the Titan keeps pace with the competition and has fewer problems then I guess it will be another Titan.

Face it, no matter which way you look at it the new Tundra is going to be competitive. Toyota knew that with the Titan coming out that their sales were going to take a huge hit and they had to basically reinvent the wheel with this Tundra. And for the Dodge, Ford and GM guys who thought we weren't much of competition, wait til this is thrown in the mix.

I find it hilarious how people say the Tundra didn't, or doesn't have problems...

Look up TSB's for the thing, it's had brake problems EVERY YEAR since 1999! And that's just one problem, there's been several more. I've posted the items here before, but don't feel like doing it now-way too many to post. Face it, the Tundra would appear to have less problems, but that's only a perception.
Also, everyone knew Toyota would have to step up and make a bigger truck, because of the Titan. If Toyota only sold 91K Tundra's, the Titan is right there. So when you look at it, the Titan isn't hurting the Big 3, it's hurting the Tundra.

From my point of view, it looks to me like Toyota still has not learned their lesson... When I test drove the Tundra I felt the cabin was horribly small. I was driving a '95 Nissan Hardbody KC 4x4 and the Tundra felt just ever so slightly bigger.

Look at this pic closely; notice the distance between the top of this guy's head and the roof. This guy has got to be like 7' tall or they just cheaped out on headroom!

I love how tall the cabin is in my Titan. When people jump into the back seat they got plenty of room to sort of step up into it without having to worry about hitting their head. I also love the fact that I could get into the Titan with a big 'ole cowboy hat, if I wore one at least. :)

Space is space, and that interior is looking claustrophobic to me...

Don't forget that when the Titan was making its rounds in the rumor mill the designers said it had almost as much HP as the dodge hemi. Then it came out with 40 less. That ain't almost in my book. Talk is cheap, let's wait and see.

Agreed, QuadT

Several months back there were some 'spy pics' of the new Tundra making their way around the boards, including this one, and that was a concern then, the driver looked cramped in it, like there wasn't much headroom.

Seems a little soon to judge head room...guy could be a midget with the seat jacked up....who knows, we will just have to wait and see.

As most of you guys have said, wait and see. I totally agree. If Toyota does have a hit on their hands w/the new Tundra then Nissan will have to step it up also w/the Titan. Or I really think Nissan will be left out in the dust, if quality issues are still plaguing the Titan.

We also have to remember that a companys truck doesn't have to be the fastest, largest, or the lowest priced to be the big seller...Nissan is proof of that because other trucks all sell better and they're all smaller and slower. People want useful configurations and utility, power to do the job THEY need a truck for...not for stoplight runs, one that's appealing to the eye and wallet, and enough quality to keep it in their driveway and away from a dealer.
So I don't think even a 450 HP super crew cab with 6 doors would necessarily be the best seller. A good proven truck with the above virtues probably would be.

You make a good point...Truck owners do want choice in configurations and power to tow with decent quality. The Toyota hopefully will offer all that.

Tundra 2005 - 126,529 units 12.9% increase
Titan 2005 - 86,945 units 4% increase

Care to revise that thought.

The F-seires means everything from 150 to 650 and so on.Fleet and all.But if you take just the F150 minus the rest, what # do you come up with? That's why in their comercials they say F-series and not F150.No bashing here, just facts.
