Actually, one of the biggest keys for true offroading is a short wheelbase. I would actually take a jeep over both.

bestatchess - you got it. In stock form the Jeep Rubicon. When you mod that thing it is awesome. If I had bucks I would get one and use it for trails, Titan for daily driving. Like Trikky said the short wheelbase is the advantage. That's why when you look at serious trails and off roading you most of the time see Jeeps.

Just my $.02 I've done a lot of wheellin in my time and a lot of times it boils down to the driver and of course the word "off roading" and wheeling" is terms used loosely. An experienced driver can take an H2 and do a lot just as he could a Titan or a Jeep all in stock form.Lot of times those words are used once you leave the blacktop and drive on gravel, it's amazing what some people call off roading I could drive a volkswagen bug on their off road trails and make it through. Most vehicles despite being 4 wheel drive if not specifically modified for real off road and is stock is limited to what it can do if you want to drive out unscathed, meaning if you attempt to do serious off roading in any stock vehicle be prepared for damage and wear. Again depends on where you go, your vehicle's capabilitites and how much guts you got, and if really a true off road trail but go for it and enjoy and put the Titan to the test with in your abilities. If you have never gone off roading before go for it you have to start sometime and put the 4 wheel drive to use. I bet once you do you'll love it so much you'll be going more often. As far as going with the H2 club go for it man I think you will have a lot of fun that's the main thing, not if your Titan or there Hummer off roads better.
Well put!

I have been off roading for about 14 years now and I can tell you it had a ton to do with the driver. Making it through certain things also depends on your willingness to tear your truck up. I have done tons of damage to many different vehicles in my day trying to prove I could make it through something I should not have been. I feel like I have changed since I have had my titan for 3 months now and I have not been in the mud once. That is a huge step for me.

I blame all my past problems on beer. Something about those little suds just makes me do things that I should not.

Nice T-Maxx. Do you race it? We have one dirt track here that is pretty cool with some pretty big jumps. Have you seen the new LST!! sweet truck. Mine is an HPI Savage.

I do not race it. We do not have much of a interest here. I mainly just take it out and bash it until I break something.

These are my mods:
Aluminum main supports
Aluminum front and rear bumpers
Aluminum front, rear and center skid plates
Aluminum servo cover
MIP stinger pipe
MIP boost bottle
MIP CVD's front, rear, and center
Proline bow tie tires
RPM offset wheels

I have the engine out right now and I am either going to buy an aftermarket or the new traxxas 2.5pro.

The truck is a ton of fun when I have it running lol..

Here is how I play off-road. I no longer have the YZ426. I replaced it with a KFX-700 V-Force Kawasaki. The Jeep has been under water on its side on its end. Pretty much everyway except on its roof. At least not yet.

I am thinking of selling the Jeep if anyone is interested.
