I'm not sure where you're at but I'm here in Alaska. I have several chips on my '04 (hey, it's an Alaska thing) and no signs of rust (knock on wood). I do try to keep my truck clean and run it through the Laser Wash at least once a month during the winter. They use a lot of salt on the roads up here and I try to not let it build up too much.
Good luck and I hope you get your problem resolved.

I had a chip on the driver door that rusted very quickly. I had it repaired professionally ($300). I also have a large chip in the roof by the 3rd brake lamp and it also rusted very fast. I cleaned it out and dabbed some touch up paint into it.

Has Anyone Experienced Any Problems With Rust? My '04 Is Starting To Have Rust Spots Pop Up In A Couple Places.... Also, Any Chips Or Dings Rust Very Quickly
Hey there Jack, where in Salisbury are you from. No, no rust on my '04, and she sleeps outside every night.

I'm in CT and no rust.

The chrome bumpers front and rear rust quickly because nissan has never painted any of their chrome bumpers in the back, nor do they plate them. I cannot believe it. the damn things should be dipped the whole way! So, you have to pull the bumpers off, sandblast the backs and paint them. My fronts are rusting in my 04. check yours out in the wheel wells in the front you can see th exposed bumper.

I was under My 07 and noted several rust spots under the bed and on the bumpers, particularly the front one. I have 35K miles on it, and live in Northern Virginia. I have taken care of the damn thing like there is no tomorrow. I am sad that I did not give my money to our own boys at FORD. Cannot figure what do do. Any one with an idea?

Want some pics of the insides of Ford chrome bumpers? How about one thats only 2 years old? You'd think the damn thing is reversible in case you wanted to try the copper look on your truck.

I live in northwest NJ. My 2004 Titan just turned 74000 miles. Pretty low for an 11 year old truck. It is starting to rust at the rear wheel openings and at the top of the tool compartment. The rest of the truck still looks great but that rust is breaking my heart for sure.
