go with a extang RT. I just bought my wife one for her Frontier and she loves it. Have to say that I had a extang saber on my S-10 and I like this one better. Low profile, one person can roll it up, and it has a snap at the tailgate to secure it. I'll try to get a pic up later if I can but here is the link. oh yeah, i paid around 300.00

Stick with your instincts and go with the Agricover.

I've got the Access Limited Edition (paid $409.00 w/ shipping) from www.4wheelonline.com and I can't be any happier with my choice.

I considered both Extang and Lund, but went with the Access. It has no snaps, the cross bars roll up with the cover, and you have tension dials built into the cover that allow you to tighten or loosen the cover, so there's no more tugging on the cover in the winter.

The cover and the hardware all come with a lifetime warranty, plus it looks really good (fits in between the bed rails.

If you want a low profile cover, go with the Lorado. All of the Agricover tonneaus have the same exact cover, but each come with their own options.

I paid under 300 total and the extang rt also has no snaps, the bars roll up with the cover, and you can also adjust the tension. It also has a full lifetime warranty and fits between the rails. I checked it out and both look to be the same. I just like extang better myself, 1st cause the price, 2nd my extang saber i had on my S-10 ripped (my fault, NEVER drive with them unsecure!) and it was covered by a limited warranty (pro-rated), but they just replaced it for free, no questions asked, and that cover was about 4 or 5 years old.

http://www.truckcustomizers.com/

here is a company i bought my flares from, they have the cover and shipping is like 26.00. they are a good company but search around, you might find a better deal. like i looked for days and found my westin nerf bars for about 195.00 plus a 10.00 handling fee, no shipping and i got them in 2 days. just look until you find a good deal.

They are very similar. The access looks like it latches closed on both side rails, where the extang only latches on one rail. The extang is a lower profile, which i like, the access looks to have a better tensioning system, hand dial, the extang you need an allen wrench...

4wheelonline has beeter prices on agricover than truckcustomizers.com, but the extang is cheaper at the truckcustomizers place...

hmmm....decisions, decisions...

the only one i see under $300 is the LiteRider from agricover, and it will meet my needs, so im leaning toward that one

Truxedo LowPro was my choice. Access uses a string to unlatch to roll up, where the Truxedo uses a metal lever. Six clamps for the rails which install nicely into the Utilitrack if you truck is equipped. Support bars roll up with the cover. Pricing should be in the $350 range from one of our preferred vendors on the site. Got mine locally for about $380.

It has screws which to set the tension. I don't recall if springs are involved, but you do have control in setting the tension with the set screws, otherwise I would have been reluctant buying one if it relied on spring tension alone.

Another factor was a lifetime warranty on the top, rails, and even the velcro. I looked at the Access and the Truxedo (as well as a number of other options) and the Truxedo does not sit as high off the bed.

For soft roll up covers, it seems that a number of people have gone the Truxedo route. I have been very happy with mine to date. The price is right, materials and overall quality is very good, lifetime warranty, and installs easily- especially if you have the Utilitrack. Some covers say they work with the Utilitrack, but does not imply that their brackets utilize the channel in their mount, but that the Utilitrack will not interfere with their clamped or drilled installation of their product.
