I stopped in and asked about the 2 degree timing advance. "NOPE! It can't be done!" was my reply. "The ECU wont let you".
"I beg to differ," I said. "It's the talk of the internet forums."
"Well maybe they say you can do it on the internet but it cant be adjusted. It's all controlled by computer" she said.
I continued to tell her that poeple state they pay about $70 and it takes about 5 minutes and bingo...a satisfied customer!
She said "well, we charge $120 an hour and I've never had anyone ask to have it done.
Then she grabbed a tech and he continued to back her up saying that it might be possible but there is no way to do this using thier machine. They stated they used a Consult 2.
AM I MISSING SOMETHING? Isn't that the same one other dealers using to do the mod?
What can I do to convince my service department that this can be done?
