Little Annoyances of the Titan

this is just to see what annoys everyone about the titan.

power seat moves when entering/exeting from accidentaly hiting switches (not much of an annoyance anymore i have goten used to it/dont hit them anymore)

when driving at night with the lights on and i lean foward slightly, the backlight from the coolant temp gauge (i think its that gauge) shines through the needle just right to catch my eye

anytime it rains or in the morning with the dew, you cant roll the windows down without soaking the window switches

thats all i can think of for now... ill add more as i think of them.

Here is one.

The tow/haul mode will not engage unless you turn the truck off and pull out the key. I drove the truck to pick up a trailer. I turned the truck off as I hitched it up but didn't pull out the key. After I pulled away, I hit the tow/haul button but it wouldn't work. I had stop, turn off the truck, and pull out the key, then restart before it would work.

Yes you can. Try reading your manual, if that isn't broken too.
Tell me where in the manual? Maybe I'm missing something. (Can't check the manual right now because the dealer still has the truck.)

I called Nissan about this and read the manual. In my '04 if you use any of the defroster settings the AC will not turn off again, even if using a non-defroster setting. The only way to reset it is to turn the ignition off and on again. The only way to avoid this is to turn the fan off and some times I would like to use the fan to blow fresh, un AC'ed air.

Don't use the A/C, leave the temp on lowest setting, turn indicator to your choice other than defrost or Max A/C, set fan for level you prefer and you will have fresh, un A/C'd air.

The seat belt is the only thing that annoys me. It locks you in at the weirdest times. Like trying to look around the pillars or looking around bushes or other cars. It seems to trap me in my seat and wont let go.

37L1,

Thanks for the info but I've tried that and it doesn't work. If you put the indicator on any defrost setting and turn on the fan, the A/C comes on. When you push the A/C button and the light goes off but the compressor is still running. Some times I just like fresh air blowing through the defrost vents and mixing with the air and not blowing on me like when you use the dash vents.

I can understand them turning the A/C on when you select a defrost setting but I should be able to turn the A/C off if I want.

I'll try this again but I doubt it has changed in two years.

Cheap sounding brake pedal when you release it.

Blind spot created by "A" pillar and the big tow mirror. (I can't believe that I am the only one who is bugged by this, it is hazardous). I will be looking for this hidden hazzard in my next truck purchase. It makes me crazy!!! :fktardxpl

Real petty stuff, but they still bug me...
1) When you lock out the power window controls to get the kids to quit $#%!ing with them, it locks out the drivers controls (on all but the drivers window) as well...duh!
2) No lights for the streeing wheel controls
3) The smaller/lower mirriors on the Big Tow mirros don't turn out far enough
4) The off-set HVAC controls...ended up placing a cell phone mount in the space to the left but it bearks up the symmetry of the dash and for what... a few pennys to produce a panel specific for our trucks vs. using the same one off the Armada...cheap.
5) Not a big fan of the orange dash lights
6) The "soft" nature of the interior plastic panels (i.e. dash cover, door panels) it takes nothing to scratch them
7) $3.00/gl gas! Although it has finally started coning down here (Denver). $60 fill ups still sting!

Your not the only one look at the first post on this page. I agree, I have almost hit a guy on a golfcart because of those pillars. Now I always do the o'll head nod from side to side when turning.

1. Glued on mud flaps...lost the passanger rear one twice from winter driving (dealer replaced).

2. The bolt in tray for the bed of the truck is nice however I've snapped both boths off already from loading a motorcycle in the bed by stepping on them or kicking them accidently and the fact you have to remove the tailgate to take them out. The bed extender is nice but it doesn't lock into position as the hand tightened braces loosen from road vibration.

3. CD player should eject the disk when you push the eject button, instead you press eject then select a disk then press load then wait for it to ready itself then you can play insert the disc.

4. The big orange radio staring at me in the review mirror is annoying.

5. Ever try to get a penny out of the center console?

6. The plastic around the center console gear selector is a nightmare to clean. Why not put leather boots on them like in a manual?

7. The dent my bony elbow put in the armrest is permanent.

8. KC rear windows dont open, more of a wish than a rant.

9. No fog lights without head lights.

10. Wish there was a half click position on the steering wheel, I need it about a half inch higher due to the top of the speedo being blocked but it's comfy where I have it.

11. What are the grooves and mounts for underneath the center console lid. I use one for a tire pressure gage? Why would you want to put a cell phone in there?

I can't stand all the power and all the space in the truck. I can't stand that it tows so much and takes a beating. J/K heeheehaahaa
