My tires are almost worn down with very little tread left. The truck has about 25K miles on it and have had it for just over 2 years. Are my tires under warranty still? If so who is responsible for replacing them?

If you read the owners manual, the actual Tire manufacturer is responsible for your tire warranty. If you have goodyears, don't look for them to honor anything!!! I had the goodyear SRA on mine with less than 8K miles on them and had one tire with a sidewall crack, Goodyear said that I would have to pay 50.00 (new ones are only 110.00) to get it replaced with another, and even then, they were skeptical about whether the crack was tire malfunction or abuse... Yea abuse.... 8k miles on it and most of it was just to work and home... total 5 mile commute, on paved roads. For myself in the future, ANY vehicle I buy will not have goodyear tires on it. Never liked them and never will especially with this latest fiasco.

In closing the dealership might work with you, but, tires are not covered under the same warranty as the vehicle.

Those Goodyear tires are pieces of cr$p I have close to 30000 miles , and the tires are practically worn out. They have no traction in the rain, and in the snow they are completely useless. Mind you I live in Va it doesnt snow that much here. I am currently shopping for some new tires before winter hits.

I have a 2005 CC with 16000 miles and my Good Year tires are worn out. My guess would be the dealer saying tires are not covered under the three year warranty. My truck will not be two years old until February 2007.

Are you saying the dealer replaced your tires because of wear?

I just took my truck to discount tires for the third time and the guy said I might have 3000 miles left on my tires if im lucky!
I'm sure I will not pass inspection coming up in February. I have been holding out on replacing the tires because I want to replace them with 20". I need to wait until after the first of the year for this because of property taxes. I just can not blow that kid of money until after I pay all my house taxes.

If I can get another set of tires from the dealer under warranty, then I could live with the 18's.
Maybe I will call the dealer today and see what he says.

Yes, they replaced my tires do to wear. They called it a good will warranty, if you have a good service dept. they will xchange with no proplem. They replaced mine with 265/70/18 Toyo AT and i am really impressed with the tires:3eyes: so far.

Where in Canada ae you located. I am in Whitehorse (Yukon), and after 28,000 K I replaced my tires also. The local dealer (Carcare Motors) had me e-mail them my concerns about the fast wear. No one has got back to me yet from Nissan. I feel Nissan is at fault as the under spec'd the tires. Also as we all know the same with the braking system.

Was it Nissan or GoodYear that replaced them?
