alright guys so before i address my problem a little info, about 3 months ago i launched hard from a dead stop and somehow bent the u bolts holding the rear end shifting whole rear end damaging the pinion bearings and carrier bearing, i got the truck to the shop asap and had the pinion bearings and seal changed, also had everything checked out and the carrier bearing was also changed, at the same time i changed the u joints just to be sure
about 3 weeks ago i noticed gear oil around the front of the diff and right rear tire and took it back and they showed me the u joints were bad so they advised me to change them before replacing the seals so i changed them last week and the truck drives alot smoother there's no clunk when shifting anymore but now i have a problem when launching hard from a dead stop
im getting a sort of binding/ clunking on hard acceleration from a dead stop and the rear end feels a bit loose, i opened up the diff today to inspect it and everything seems fine and the gears seem to be wearing well, the shocks were loose and i tightened them but no change, u bolts are tight also
im ready to get traction bars but im not sure if this will fix my problem, this had not happened before so im not sure what it could be, i have been keeping the diff fluid full, i am changing the axle seals and bearings this weekend and taking the truck to the shop to get the pinion seal changed
should i just go ahead and get the traction bars or change something else first? my trucks a 07 crew cab with 6 inch lift true trac and 4.10 gears, sorry about the long post just trying to give as much info as possible

I would go for the t bars. They cured my clunking from a stop issue

Well im getting more of a binding/ gridning, i had a passanger with me this morning and tried to see it would do it when i spun the tires at a stop and they felt it as well then i had them get behind the truck and see what was going on durring a slow burnout and they said my driver side tire is spinning fine but the passenger tire is moving slower and hopping so im wondring if thats the problem and if its the truetrac thats gone bad or wil the t bars fix this

Check the transmission mount. Bet its broke. Also buy and install Trac bars asap!!! CJD racing makes the best bars on the market. That is what i run on Venom. Hand made in the USA too :)
Michael Deardorff can be contacted via Facebook. Or in Titan Tech on FB

I'll check the transmission mount right now and is there any other way of contacting him? i dont have a facebook account, do you know the pricing on these?

Does anyone have any input on the condition of my transmission mount or have any idea why i am only getting wheel hop on one side?
Ok bad news is you will have to buy another oem mount if it is bad. doesnt look the best. Pry with a long bar up on the trans or jack up on the trans with a soft block of wood to see if that mount has separated.

The trac bars will fix that from happening again!

i have checked the transmission mount and all seems well, no separation. I have contacted cjdracing and will be getting the bars this week or next week.
I was on the highway today an noticed i get a very bad vibration going 80mph which increases as i go above that but im not sure if its a drive shaft issue or my tires need to be balanced but it is pretty bad and it only starts as i hit 80mph, could i have installed the u joints incorrectly or could the bearings be bad in the rear axle? i havent removed the axles to check, also i know traction bars can fix the wheel hop but is there a reason this just started now, ive been going to the track for a while now and hadnt had this come up so could i have worn something out?
i got under the truck and the bushings on the shocks are ripped could that be a cause or could the bushing on the shackles holding the leaf springs also be bad?

I have taken my truck to the differential shop because the hopping got worse and i felt as if something wasnt right in there and they concluded my truetrac has gone bad and thats whats causing the heel hop, does anyone know if that can happen? im pretty sure it went bad from having the bolt back out a while back

Have you contacted TrueTrac about the issue? Maybe they can help?
