I've been looking for light bars for our trucks for quite some time and have been quite unhappy with what is available. That is...until now. Pro Comp is now making a light bar for our trucks which will house three lamps. I inquired about the light bar directly to Pro Comp and here is what they said about it:

hi vaughn,
these are our new Motorsport Lightbars. for the longest time, these have
been strictly for our own show vehicles only. BUT NOW they are being
released to the public and the ETA is looking like January.
the titan's lightbar is part number 27000 and will be glossy black. the
average retail price will be around $155.
we are very glad to hear how excited you are about these. you will be able
to purchase it anywhere that sell our product.

Below is a link to a Titan which has the light bar mounted. Note the color will only be available in black as explained above.

New info on light bar for those interested. I PM'd Pro Comp once again and asked about two things. First, I asked how the thing mounts. Second, I asked if it could accomodate lamps other than Pro Comp brand lights. Here is the reply that I received as well as three pictures that he took for me to post here for everyone to see......

Hello and Happy Holidays!
Pro Comp's new Motorsport Series Lightbars are made of tough, heavy-gauge
tubing with enough room to accommodate 3 of our largest lights, which are up
to 9". This leaves enough space for almost any other lights to be mounted as
well (Hella, Piaa, etc..) as long as they are within 9".
There are 3 different ways to purchase these. For the Titan/Armada 4wd/2wd,
there is part number 27000 for the lightbar by itself, 24051 for lightbar
with 3 of our new 7" 100w Motorsport Lights, and 27011 for bar with 3 of our
9" 55w H11 Motorsport Lights. And all bars are a glossy black finish.
This mounts easily in 4 different spots for maximum support. In fact, i will
draw you a picture with my camera....3 pictures are attached. One of them is
of me poking my head into the fender to see the 2 mounting bolts on one
side, mounted to the top and front of the metal bumper.
So far we have developed these specifically for the 04-07 F150, 05-07
Tacoma, and the 04-07 Titan/Armada.

Please let me know if there are any other questions, I would be more than
happy to reply.

And here are the pictures.

Will do, Jason. I've since asked additional questions and have requested more information. Once I get an update I'll forward it to everyone here.

Thanks bro!!! Since it comes painted, should be an easy REpaint. lol :D

Ive started work on a litebar of my own. It can use 2 or 4 lights of your choice and mounts to the frame in factory holes. It not finished yet but I think looks better and can be color matched. It will also be much cheaper then this bar. I have pictures but want to finish the bar before I post the pictures. Let me know if anyone is interested.

thats great news Vshortt keeps updated pls maybe set up a group buy...

cvtitan show us some pictures or drawings of your bar design

I can't tell but do you have to drill holes in the front bumper? Wonder exactly what type of metal it's made of? I'm definitely interested to see it on some more trucks (maybe mine?), looks good.

Oh yeah, is it available now???
The ProComp bar needs holes drilled for installation.

I will post some pics of mine today when I get home from work. With the material cost and what ever paint/powdercoat I decide on will reflect the on the price but I thinkin right now about $65.

I'd like to see your bar as well. The Pro Comp bar DOES require drilling in four spots on the bumper. It will be available in January. I'm still in talks with them and will let everyone know what I find out. I'll definitely be a test mule for this bar.

My bar attaches to the frame above the tow hooks using existing holes and comes under the bumper between the hooks. No holes to drill and is made of 1" tubing. Its only 28"s and fits real nice between the hooks. It will have a place for 2 or 4 lights or I could make it for 3. With either lights on top or on bottom. It also provides a nice step to get to the engine on lifted trucks.

We need pics CV!!!
The pictures are coming. I have to work all weekend so Ill be back on the light bar on Monday. I have it on the truck right now in its rough development stage.

The procomp bar seems way over priced for what it is.

Unfortunately I feel your pain, worked Friday, Saturday and getting ready to go in for tonight. Just can't resist holiday/weekend pay :p

< Wouldn't mind seeing an unfinished pic ;)

I got a few more replies from the guys at Pro Comp. The first one addresses the question that Scottsbro (from another forum) had in his last reply. It also addresses the use of the light bar on XE model Titans. Here it is:

The lightbars shown on the pdf file off of our website are actually the ones
used on the 05-07 Tacomas. That specific set connects to additional brackets
behind the bumper that mount to the frame.
For the set used on the Titans/Armadas, each of the 4 ends have a cap to
seal it and stud sticking out for a nut to lock it down from the other side.
But keep in mind that there are some of these trucks out there without the
crome plate on the bumper. These all-plastic bumpers would not be able to
mount this lightbar solid.

In my next letter to him I asked if they could fabricate some sort of structure to make it possible to mount to an XE and I also asked about the lighted roof rack on top. Here is what he said and here is the pictures that he sent:

i'm sure something could be fabbed up to make it work on the XE models, but
nothing through us as a company. something like this would need to be
totally custom.
as far as this roof rack, this was made custom for our trucks as well as one
solid piece. try to imagine shipping this badboy. i've tried to push this
though to development, but unfortunately when looking at the reality of
producing and shipping these it wouldn't work. i totally incourage anyone
who wants to custom fab one up themselves. i attached a couple pictures of
the same style on a F150 for you to post as well.
