My 2007 T decided to throw the TPMS dash light a few months ago. I double checked the tire pressue (nitrogen) and all was OK.. Upon start up the light flashes for about a minute then it stays on steady.

I find this to be annoying.

After considerable research on this forum about the TMPS and talking to a two tire shops (I was told I'd be better off just changing all 4 for about $300)... I decided to "fix" it forever.

Quarter-size black duct tape (cut neatly naturally), goes right over that dang light. I hate to "rig" stuff...but I'll be darned if I'll pay $300+ for something I can check with my trusty gauge.

Just say'n..

The flashing for a minute and then steady on indicates a fault with the system. Mine was doing that. A simple reprogramming of the sensors solved the problem.

After almost 10 years the battery in the sensor has reached its end of life. I paid Discount Tire around $35 per sensor for new ones. $300 is way too much.

I think $35 was all inclusive. I negotiated.
