I've got a question about just putting a turn down pipe after a 40 or 50 series flowmaster. I know it it might drone more, but will it hurt my performance? You can do this mod for $50-100 and it's just a lot cheaper than buying a $500 catback. Do the catback kits give better results than just dumping the exhuast after the muffler? In other words, does the extra piping actually give any gains, or is it just for look and to minimize sound?
