OK guys, it's time to replace my air filter. I know there is tons of info on this already out there, but I've been searching and reading myself silly so I was hoping for a simple answer. Here is the scoop.

While I would love to get an AEM Brute Force Intake or such, I can't afford it right now. Would I better off sticking to a plain old Nissan air filter or would I be better off with a K&N for the time being?

Eventually I'd like to upgrade to a better intake system, but what to do until then?

Thanks for your simple and short explanation/opinion!

Lots of debate, but many say go with airbox mod and K&N drop in.

I did and I like it! Sounds good and I feel like there is a little more power! And for $35, It's worth it!

I agree go with the drop in K&N.Besides its cleanable it will give you more time to save up for an intake.

i'm waitin on my S&B CAI to come in this week and currently i have the airbox mod w/ fram air hog .. probably gonna either keep it just in case.. or see if anyone would like to purchase it..

I would personaly just get an OEM filter or Amsoil. K&N's CAN get oil on your MAF sensor and in general do not filter very well. They do flow more air, but the gains are minimal on the titan, Even adding an intake will only give you minimal gains...

K&N's are ok, and do have their applications I use them on my ATV due to the setup and riding conditions it works the best. But that motor gets rebuilt every few years anyways. IMO it is not a good idea to use one on the titan in your situation.

Your best bet would be to get an Amsoil Drop in filter for only a couple bucks more. PM Talkinghorse and he will clarify what makes the dry filter better. I believe it is also cleanable.
