Have a 2021 Titan Pro4X and now it looks like I need a new throttle body, anyone else with same issue. Hoping this isn’t an on going problem. Only had the truck for just over a year. Was waiting to decide where to eat with the truck idling in a parking lot and the dash lit up Engine Fault along with the Engine in, AEB, and RAB lights. Dealer says one code is P2101 and that the truck needs a new throttle body.

My 2018 did it one time while idling for a bit of time while eating in the truck so I reset the light with my code reader and it never occurred again. My 2020 has never done it.
How can a bad throttle cause you any concern? It’s under warranty and will be fixed so it’ll become a non issue soon enough. It’s a fast and easy repair.

I know the throttle body is not a big deal but the reoccurrence would be. Just checking to see if others had the same issue with any reoccurring problem or issues.
Usually if an issue is a known problem they redesign the part.

i think a few [people have had their throttle bodies replaced but i have never heard anyone say it messed up again. it funny that the whole tb is replaced instead of the throttle position sensor, which is probably whats wrong. oh well

Did you ever get anyone to fix this issue? I have the same problem on mine. I just purchased new 2021 Nissan Titan Pro 4x with 1,200 miles on it. Have this same issue going on right now. I've opened a nissan consumer affairs issue with it b/c the dealership has been unable to fix it. Thanks.

Nissan replaced the throttle body which fixed the system fault issue but my RAB light came on recently and AEB light has been coming on and off lately and they can not find anything wrong with it because they said it don’t leave a trace on the system. And if the light isn’t on when the dealer has it and it don’t show anything wrong then they don’t know where to start. I’m still going through consumer affairs. Mine has just under 15k mikes in it now.

Thanks for the reply. How long have you been going through the issue with consumer affairs? I found this issue with the Frontier: “System Fault See Owners Manual” popped up for no reason I am going to drop mine back off Monday and have a Nissan Engineer look at it. The ECM should be reading an error code on it. It looks like it could be a faulty break light switch.

Well Nissan declined to purchase the vehicle back or to replace it and told me to keep bringing the vehicle back each time the light comes on. I have a copy of the TSB and it says to not replace anything at anytime. They gave me a piece of paper that said something to the effect of the cause of the light coming on means that the system is not available at that time and could be weather related and cause the system to not work such as heavy rain, fog, cold weather, frost, etc. Unbelievable. This is my 5th Nissan, second Titan, but first Nissan with these safety features. Not happy paying for a vehicle that the safety systems may not work properly in climate weather........

Oh and I do not believe the AEB & RAB flashing lights or issues is the system fault. That was caused by the throttle body failure Nissan said. As of now they are unable to find any issues with the AEB and RAB flashing lights and believes the systems are working fine. I have researched the issue and there are several issues with other Nissans such as the Rogue, etc.

Can you post the TSB? Or provide the TSB #? Thanks. Your truck, when a system error happens, records the code on the ECM. You should have them read the error code(s) on the ECM and give them to you.

I have a 2021 Titan and got into my truck and the system fault light came on. The truck would move about 2 miles an hour. 4 days before this happen I noticed when I accelerated it would bog down like bad fuel then accelerated at normal speed. Apparently it might give you a warning it was going out. I Cool Springs Nissan is closed today when they open I will see what they are going to do, I have only 19000 miles on the truck.

Since this incident occurred I have had other safety lights that have came on, forward and rear safety driving aids. Pictures and videos (which Nissan did not want) and Nissan would only say that the lights coming means they are not working but refused to replace or to try and to fix anything since the lights would not stay on. I googled and there seems to be other Nissan models with the issues and complaints. I don't have time to deal with it and and was in and out of the dealer several times last year alone. I decided to get rid of the headache and wont consider another one again. Shame, I liked the truck a lot, seats were comfortable but Nissan was no help. It wasn't the dealer because Nissan sent a specialist who told me the issues I was having wasn't seen on a Titan before and therefore he didn't think there was a problem and just recalibrated the system. Well they kept coming on. I am aware of vehicles have issues and nothing is perfect but Nissan wouldn't do anything. Wish you all luck with yours. Went back to the Tundra.
