It's been just about 2 months since I ordered my rock sliders from Rock Road Outfitters (I was told it was going to be a 5 to 6 week turn around time for fabrication). It was shipped to my door this past Monday and got them installed today. Double, triple check your measurements, use lots of cutting oil, invest in a right angle attachment, use good drill bit and step bit, a good center punch and a some choice curse words to get the job done!

Geez - glad you got them installed despite the quality control issues! Looks good!
What were the quailty control issues that others were having? There were a few things that I found to that Rocky Road could have done better with these sliders.

1: The instructions should indicated that you'll need a stubby drill bit or a right angle attachment for your drill to drill the holes for the top holes on the mounting plate.

2: The holes on the mounting plate could be a little bigger.

3: The plate on the sliders are not fully welded on, it's only welded on by sections.

Other than those issues, the sliders are built very well, both sliders are straight and leveled, they're almost the same length (about less than an 1/8th difference) and overall powder coat seems good. Maybe I got lucky with these slider? I know of several others on a 2nd gen Titans FB group that will receive their sliders in the next few weeks. I'll see what they say about their sliders. ✌

Finally can reply to your thread. I got mine ordered and received about 4 months later. Install was definitely a pain with all those holes that needed drilling but you were correct the instructions should include a right angle drill and shorty drill bits. That’s the only way to drill the upper holes. A friend clamped the bars on prior to drilling and that made the install/layout much easier.

Those being welded is probably the best thing you could have done. Have you tried to throw a farm jack under them yet in the middle and see how they hold up?
No I haven’t and probably won’t unless it’s a recovery necessity/option. I’d rather something break and cause damage when actually needed. The bars are seriously solid and the welder was reputable so I’m sure it would be fine.

Yeah I understand, I just got a set for mine and was going to do some testing once I get them on before we hit the trail! I’ve always tested sliders a bit before hand just to see if they could take the weight if it was a deer or rock that went under.
