Hello everyone,
I have a 2019 Titan that I absolutely love. I bought the truck brand new and have about 97,000 miles on it. Yes I drive the hell out of it. LOL I have had a ton of issues with it since day one, but thank god of the warranty on it. So here are y latest issues.

1. Truck seems to hesitate when starting. Almost like the battery is bad. I have taken it to have battery and alternator checked, (I had battery changed out last year). All systems seem to check out fine. But super scared that it may not start if I go on a long trip with it.
2. Today, yes, today I started to work and it sounded like it was roaring from the engine area. To be more specific it seems like the transmission was slightly lagging or working harder than usual. I drove it and it seemed to keep the same sound for a long time. I was thinking it would calm down once it got warmed up but "alas" it did not. At lunch time I still heard the same roaring. Of course as I was going to take it to the dealership it calmed way down and drove like the baby it is. So now there is no recreating it.
3. Last but not least, I was driving my baby to the cleaners. I went in and let the truck run as I ran in to pick up my dry cleaning. I come outside and hop in and the truck is off. I start the truck and it started to sputter real bad. I stepped on the gas and it seem to shake it off and run smooth. I pull out and get on the road. The damn truck would not go over 15-20 miles per hour, sputtering real bad. I pulled over into a lot and goosed it a bit. It still sputtered bad. I hut it down and waited for about 3 minutes. Started the truck and it acted as though it was brand new. Took it to the dealership and they put a computer on it. NO CODES, cannot recreate the issue. Does this ring any bells with anyone. Any advice would be great. I wanna get these issues fixed prior to the warranty running out.

I would video record next tine it happens and see if the dealer cam check your throttle body for the weird driving and starting.

And the fan clutch is a common issue

Sir...I think your truck has the Direct injection only engine and you are past the mileage where other owners have been reporting bad coking of the intake valves which happens on DI only engines. One Titan owner started having your very issues at 45K. To correct it has to be walnut blasted to clean the back of the valves. This is why I purchased a 2020 Tundra instead of 2020 Titan as I keep my vehicles a long time.

What the hell is "coking"? I've never heard that, do you mean coating? You've said that in another post as well. Any vehicle is going to have issues, it's a machine, nothing is perfect, to include Tundra's, old and new. If they were, they wouldn't have changed anything that ended up going to ****, just my opinion.

Coking is what they call Carbon Buildup on the Intake valves of an engine that will cause various premature engine issues(idling, hesitation, fuel consumption, loss of power etc...) Any vehicle will eventually have problems but not within 100K like these new Nissan DI only engines do. Go ahead and spend your money on that as its all in what you want...I understand but facts are facts, I have no emotions in this just pure logic and facts. Below I will post just one thread from the Titan forum to help all on here understand what I'm am warning them about.

Learn something new everyday, never heard of coking, albeit, I'm not a mechanic. There are plenty of Titans that have over 100k without issues. And, I have a catch can to hopefully somewhat mitigate the carbon issue. Besides, it's all a moot point, good ole Joe will have us all driving EV's before long anyway lol. My 2018 is paid for and gives me everything I need, besides, the new vehicles, any make, is freaking outrageous right now.

Never seen this being an issue on a Nissan, its not a Hyundai

its not an issue on nissan v8s, so far. doing research on it, you will see the nissan v8 takes a very long time to be affected by the build up of particulate on the back of the intake valves. there are (though few) 5.6 litre direct injection engines on the road with over 150k miles and no issues yet. yes, hyundai is already experiencing issues, as did toyota and ford in their early di engines but they have since remedied the problem by adding another injector that just "washes" the valves. nissan 5.6 v8s seem to be able to handle the build up alot better then smaller displacement i4 engines.

some people have gone and done the walnut blasts on their own and recorded what they found. there was build up but not enough to cause a noticeable loss of power or gas mileage, nor pop the check engine light, like hyundai has shown happens when the engine gets enough build up.

Like I said before, dang truck is falling apart. 2019 Titan be carted off. I love this truck, but cannot seem to keep it out of the shop. This time truck had been running fine after getting her back from having the fan clutch replaced. Thanks to all who gave me the heads up. Backup up from store parking lot and truck started shuddering like it had bad gas. of which this has happened before. I pulled over and shut her down like I had done in the past. shut her completely down and she never started again. To the point it killed the battery as well. My wife wants me to get rid of her, but I love this truck, but I brought it brand new and swear every 3-4 months its in the shop with some major thing gone wrong. Every 3-4 months since she was bought brand new. The dealership cannot seem to pinpoint the problem and I only have a few thousand miles left and warranty is done and over. I saw a gentleman say that all machines will break down and I agree to some extent. but this is just plain ridicules. I should be hauling stuff instead of being hauled by something. Mind you it goes to get oil changes and all services done at a Nissan Dealership.
Things I have replaced:
Back window leaking 3 times
Headliner twice
Radio not turning off or turning on when it wanted twice
BCM once
Battery Twice
Front struts twice
filler neck and gas tank twice whistling noise when filling up
USB twice and still not working right.
And now the dang thing just quit on me after bucking like a bronco of Yellowstone. Oh and lets not forget there is no error codes

All of this since 2020 with 250 original miles

Forgot to add the fan clutch, and when the dealership tried to replace it they stripped off the bolts to the dang thing

Teddy, i think you just got one of those odd ball vehicles that is a friday build right before a holiday. it really bums me out to hear all the stuff that you have had to deal with. i kind of feel like you should get rid of her before the warranty is over and maybe get a new one so you have a dependable truck.

i hate to say that but i feel like you will have none stop issues with that truck once the warranty is over and than it will be terribly expensive to own
