Well, seeing as how I actually will have some free weekends for the next couple months (CORR is in hiatus), I would like to organize another off road meet. Anyone interested? Be ready to commit too, none of this "well, maybe" "but what about" crap. I got too much of that in response to the last couple meets I tried to organize. In the end it ended up JohnHarden being the only one to show up.

Here's my thinking. We could do something like a fire road trail run and hit up the Azusa cyn OHV area like before, or we could go up to Hungry Valley again. I'm open to other sugestions too.

Date is yet to be determined, depending on everyone's availability.

It's kinda funny. I hear all this from guys "I use my truck"...."I go off roading all the time".... But when it's time to organize a meet, no one responds....:dunno:

Can this trail be done with 4x2 ??
What about stock ??
Location ?? Azusa Canyon off 210 "I think" ??
Sundays better for me..

you think 2wd with nitto mud tires could make it through those trails

2wd should be fine on the fire road trails. You just got to be easier on the gas and modulate your brakes with your left foot. I took a stock 02 f150 with a camper shell (v6 powered) that was 2wd on there last time for work. It did just fine.

And yes, Azusa canyon, off the 210. They seem to be sticklers about 4wd though. They never check, they just ask you if you are 4wd when you go through the gates.

Is that range any good? I've been up sh!t creek since fish canyon closed.

On the tow rope subject: I have two leads 50' long each. Along with plenty of shackles and rigging....

Count me in if this off-road meet is done in any of the last two weekends of July. First weekend of July I will be in Pismo, second weekend I will be in Seattle, and as of now I dont have anything scheduled for the last two weekends.

edit: I just realized I have a drift event the third weekend of July. hmmm...damn it that only leaves me with the last weekend. not cool.

I'm not from Southern California but, I'm keeping an eye on this thread. I'd be willing to take a road trip for a good off-road meet. If you look at the Arizona forums, all those guys want to do is to meet at the F--ing SHOPPING MALL!!!!! (lame) http://www.titantalk.com/forums/south-western-forum/57530-feeler-desert-titans-meet.html It's been a while since I've been to the beautiful Golden State and the Titan has not yet been out of Arizona and I have some time off coming to me so, I'm interested. I want to get the Titan dirty.

Sounds like a good time but I can't say "I am down" if there is no set date. Wanting to test out this lift, but nothing too crazy yet.

I go on a monthly trail run with a local 4WD club and their next one is the weekend of 7/14. Other than that, I'm open.

A fire road should be fun though they are kinda tame. Azusa is cool back in the mud pit, especially if people take turns going in deeper and deeper till they bottom out and get stuck. Remember when I got stuck up past the bottom of my doors? That was gnarly.

I'm up for a day of offroading.

Let me know when you're planning on going. It'd be nice to be with some other Titans or even pickups for that matter!! Last run I was on there were 18 of us. 16 Jeeps, 1 Samarui and my truck. Still, it was a lot of fun and they were pretty cool, though I gave them all crap for not being able to go faster than 50 up the mountain to get to the trail. Jeeps just got NO horsepower. :)

Regards,

John

Wow! Actually getting a good response this time..... Let's start thinking of a location guys. Any suggestions?

Not very regular on off-roading spots - so no idea where..
Sunday would be best for me..

ONce again,
Clark's grade from Angeles Oaks to the top of the south side of the Big Bear Valley would probably be good.
I am tied up pretty badly for the next 8 weeks, so probably cannot go.

I'm up for the Angeles oaks run. Never done that one before.
