I just replaced the sensor last year. Also my truck sounds different it has a little bit of a swine to it.. not like the power steering pump but a lite lil wine that has me worried.check engine light isn't on.. whatever info or thoughts would deffently help. This truck is my baby I plan on dieting before she does so please any thing will help

When you say "drive through high water" are we talking high enough to submerge your exhaust and hear that sputter behind you?
Now as far as external, you could very well have shorted your oil pressure sending unit. Thankfully you may have a warranty on the part, but they're also fairly cheap to obtain. I'd start by pulling the switch out and cleaning it up. Check the connections, and possibly buy another just for testing purposes.
