04 replacing e lock with trutrac

I have a 04 off road with the e lock. I ordered a detriot trutrac, races, bearings lala. I have been doing some reading and it says i have to replace the axle shafts?? one side is too long and one too short? any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

I have an 04 with the TruTrac now. I replaced both axles. It wasn't that bad of a job. Watch a ton of videos on getting the right preload and get a good gauge.

I spent more time waiting on the shop to bearings than the actual job. I have 10k+ on my new rear end.

Oh and a good time to do the axle vent mod to help prolong the seals
