Need advice! Somebody shattered my driver window and stole my backpack w/ work laptop (didn't get the camera bag :smile
I am planning to fix it myself with a window from the junk yard. Problem is, the automatic window mechanism won't go down on my truck. I need to bring it down far enough to access the brackets, but it barely budges from the fully closed position. It doesn't seem like anything is jammed. I was able to reach up and remove the old brackets, but installing the new window will be very difficult if I cannot reposition the brackets. Any ideas why this is happening? Also, I'm worried that the junkyard truck will not have a battery and/or keys. how should I go about rolling down the windows? Do I need to just cut the cables?
