My 2005 Titan KC was involved in a head on last week, after a week of waiting the insurance company finally gave me the option of having it totaled. After looking at the repair estimate ($15,850 and counting) I went with the option of having it totaled. I am going to look at the 2008's this weekend. Anyone know how they compare to the 2005's. What kind of deals are you getting on the 08's. I'm looking at a red brawn or blue 08 CC fully loaded, what do you think a good offer price is? I was thinking of the new Tundra but I have one of them with the 4.7L v8 as a loaner and i'm not to impressed with the tundra. maybe the 5.7L is much better, I dont know.

Holy crap.. I hope you are okay and everything is okay besides the truck needing to be totaled.

Not sure about the rebates right now but I hear there is decent incentives for people to buy the 08 Titans.

I just bought an 08 SE CC and Nissan gave me a $4200 rebate straight off the sticker. Dealer gave me a $2000 discount - that brought a 33k truck to about 25k without much haggling. Sold!

FWIW, I bought my 08 CC XE about 3 weeks ago and got the 4200 rebate plus about another 4000 off of sticker. 29.5k truck bought for 21.4k. Most every dealer in the Kansas City area was offering the same pricing.

You can get a SE CC 7ft bed for $27,164 with rebates...that is not a bad deal...factory sprayed linear, backup sensors, tow package, utility bed rails, power captian seats...etc. pretty much what an 05 SE KC PP package came with the price back then....for 2k more you get get a good pro-x4....

i'm thinking about it but i don't want to start on a new loan...

I have received a couple of good quotes, one is a blue cc LE stickered @42,400 and was quoted a price of $32,500 with rebates and incentives, that will be my first stop this weekend. I'll keep you posted.

How did the titan handle the head crash safety wise? Did the air bags work well? Seatbelt belt?

I know it must have been fairly good for you to go out and buy another titan :)

Yea, I'm curios too. But more importantly, glad everyone's alright. What did you impact/hit you? How did the other party's hold up?

I was hit by a 1996 mercury grand marque, his car was done(totaled) but he had hit another car before hitting me. The airbags and seat belts worked just fine, other than having a head ache and being stiff for a few days i was ok. I'm gonna miss my old truck, it was a one of a kind titan, I hope I can get my next one to look just as good.

I just went through the same thing with my '04 Titan getting totaled. I'm about 3 1/2 weeks into the '08 and loving it. I really hated seeing the old one go but there's lots of good that comes with a new one. The sticker on my new one was $36k and I ended up around $27k.

Good luck dealing with the insurance company. I know all too well how that process works.

glad you are ok. The 08's imo have just enough stuff to consider them over an 07, unless you can get a sweet deal on the out going model. I like the new grill and headlights over the 07's also. The dark interior and pro-4x are nice additions also.

Well folks i'm back in the saddle again, I picked up my 08 Titan CC red brawn LE this evening, it took about a week of going back and fourth with a dealer but I think it was worth it. I'm already looking to change to grill out. anyone know where I can get a chrome mesh grill for the 08's? I will post some pictures when I get a chance.
