help .... about to sell this truck if no one has a solution :/ now it will barely stay running when I turn my parking or headlights, battery light comes on and truck starts to buck and stutter, is it a bad battery plus wiring at my shifter? Manual doesnt work and have to rev the engine up to get it to move as if D is starting in 4th or 5th gear. Reverse works great though .... this started after the truck had been sitting for about a month while doing repairs to the fuel system...fluid looks great except smiles kinda burnt and after its warm the trans fluid has what seems like tiny air bubbles or tiny black grease/dirt partlces ..the level is about 1/8th of an inch under the word HOT on the dipstick...

Inspect the rear light bulbs carefully. A broken filament touching the brake filament will put the truck in limp mode.

This will cause the transmission to act this way? I checked the harness and at the passanger back corner under the bed the harness was slightly hanging and getting direct flow from the leaking exhaust..so I'm guessing I need to check that out? Also, when messing with the shifter last night with the engine idling, I noticed when I turned my running or headlights on that the battery light came on and the truck sputtered and would barely run if it didnt die.

Yes, definitely check the wires near the exhaust leak.

The electrical system on these trucks are very sensitive to voltage drops and any kind of short in the wiring. Even led bulbs can cause strange electrical issues.

Could a wire not be split in two but something still cause the current not to flow like if the exhaust just melted them slightly enough to melt through inside
I would say likely. If you had ran the truck for any decent period of time with the exhaust pipe rotted off where they are known for and had the exhaust hitting up against the bottom of the bed and more importantly the above mentioned wiring harness I would bet that you have some melted wiring/issues in that section
