I am a first time Nissan Titan owner in Idaho

Previously owned:
02 Chevy Silverado crew 2500HD
95 GMC Sierra extended 1500
03 Dodge Dakota extended V6
00 Ford ranger extended (now belongs to my son)

I was very happy with my 2500 HD but no longer have the need for that much truck. I wanted to stay "full size" though and literally test drove EVERYTHING under the son in the 1/2 ton range. Tundras, f-150s, Sierras, Silverados, Rams...

Made a couple of deals on a couple different Fords that got sold from under me (thank god). Which lead me to my Titan!!!

I never looked at Titans (to buy) I never entertained the thought of buying a Titan. I have seen them for years on the road and always liked the looks, the sporty body style, the wide stance of the truck, I just always thought they weren't for me for whatever reason. Probably because I used to pull heavy trailers and got dirty at work and Titans are very pretty trucks and that they couldn't possibly do what I needed them to do for me...Let me be the first to say I was absolutely wrong!
My Titan pulls whatever I want it to, I take care of it better than I have any other truck I have owned in the past, it's fast, it's loud, it's pretty, it's the best truck I have ever owned bar none!

It's pretty stock right now except for the tires which are Mastercraft Courser MXT LT275/70R18. They look amazing, drive very mid and are pretty loud.
She is giving me some troubles right now that I hope top get figured out soon but, I am still very much in love.

I'm looking forward to soaking up as much info as possible and hopefully contributing where I can. I've been a 4x4 truck owner my entire life and that doesn't look to change anytime soon.

Thanks!

Welcome, its a 5.6, but thats besides the point, what type of issues are you having?
Small leak in manifold, needs shocks and struts all around, front brakes and tie rods.

5.5ft bed is what I meant by the 5.5 in the title :)

Ahh, gotcha, manifolds are notorious for cracks, best fix is JBA longtube headers, check out cajunbpipes.com, the go guys to for replacing the manifolds. They are forum sponsors, and great guys to work with, Jeff is the parts guy and is out of Louisiana, Joe is the tuner out of Washington, Most of us would suggest Bilstien 5100 struts and shocks to replace your old ones with, Totalautomotiveperformance.com is the go to place for those and the brakes, also forum sponsors, Mike and Chas are also great guys to deal with, Tie rods probably just get some off of rockauto.com, The Cajun guys and TAP guys are also Titan owners, so they know our trucks very well.

All wear out-able parts and replacing is normal on a used truck.

Love Idaho-used to live in Spokane and my Wife's from Sammamish/Issaquah.
I would love to live in Boise, also grew up in Washington
I've been told more than once to cut my losses and just get rid of it. Not sure what to do.
I absolutely love the truck, most comfortable ride I have ever owned. The wife loves the truck, the kids love the truck...can't get over the expense to fix/what I owe and milage ratio...

Seems to be the most costly thing that can go wrong with these trucks.

Idaho is amazing BTW. I will never leave. I hardly even leave when I go on vacation. I just stay here and check out my own state

The cracked manifold, is that maybe the sound I hear which sound like a leaking vacuum line or something? Any pictures of where the cracks are so I can look at mine?

They're not visible enough to see the cracks. But if you create a new post in the technical section and add a video there are plenty of people who can help diagnose it. The sounds are similar though.
