Hi everyone, noobie here. I've owned my 06 Titan about 1 year now. I've owned several 4wd's before, including a 01 Silverado HD 2500, a 97 Dodge Ram 4x4 & several Jeeps. This is the first real winter I've driven it in. 2 problems, When I try to take it out of 4wd, the indicator just blinks, & the front axle stays engaged. Acting like tires are different size & getting driveline bind, (they are not) This will occur for as long as I drive it unless I gun it hard several times or hit the brakes really hard, skidding the tires. It will do this when I'm on snow, ice or just a wet road. It's to the point that I hate to put it into 4wd when pulling from a snowy side street onto a plowed road because I know it's going to stay locked in unless I stop or do the above mentioned.
The other concern is my front windshield defroster seems weak. If it is snowing at all, I'd better keep it on full defrost / full heat all the time or my windshield ices or fogs over. I tried putting the selector on mostly defrost & slightly to feet cuz my toes get frosty, but than the windshield freezes up right away! I've installed new winter blades but that didnt help. Doesnt seem like much air is blowing from defroster although it sounds like a hurricane!
A couple little things that are annoying, the outside temp shows 4 to 5 degrees colder than temp is & radio reception is poor at best. Stations go in and out, lose one side quite often. All & all I love the truck, pulls my snowmobile trailer great, handles fantastic & never been stuck. It is still under warranty so I guess I'll just take it in but you know they'll say its normal or couldnt duplicate customers concern!
Thanks for any insight. KF Buffalo NY.

The only problem I have with my 4x4 in my 04 disengaging is when the wheels are turned, this is my first vehicle with auto locking hubs (i like em btw) as for the defroster I ran into the same thing till my HVAC blower went out now Im stuck with a medium so I cant blast my heat. (really sucks with the 30 below weather we've been getting every night for 2 weeks now). do you have the rockford fosgate cuz mine gets great reception

I had a 97' Tahoe, and when I switched out of 4wd to 2wd it would blink for awhile, and it would sometimes only blink for 2 or 3 seconds, and sometimes it would blink until I came to a stop. I think it has to be an issue of automatic engagement and disengagement. I would ask about it, but I think they will tell you it's normal.
