Hey guys, I have an 07 2wd and all I have right now is a 2in rough country leveling kit. I am very new to all of the modding and suspension. Everyone pre 08 worships the 08+ 4x4 coils with Bilstien 5100's. I am a baller on a budget and cant afford too much. I am unsatisfied because my "Leveling kit" didnt level it. And this may be a dumb question but can I just run 08+ 4x4 coils without bilstiens and keep my 2in leveling?

No. The 08 coils basically give you a 08+ 4wd suspension for lack of a better description. It won't work with a 2" soacer. 1.5" max before you'll notice cbc.

look at the pic in my sig.. oem tire size, 32.66666667'' (or whatever it is) that is 5100's on middle perch with 4x4 moog springs, 1.5'' spacer in the rear. if you want higher you'll need a 1.5'' spacer (the limit) to add to the top of the 5100's.

Only way you'd get 4" from the springs is if you had completely destroyed shocks and didn't account for it when you measured.

Either that or camber is out of wack...

I got between 3.5"-4.0".

The 04 XE 2wd sat 1" lower than the SE 2wd. Maybe that's why?
This is the thread that got me to drop 90.00 on springs and 210.00 on Bils, to fit those tires on my truck!

Here's a quote from that thread
After giving it a little thought (hopefully I have it correct), I can see a 2wd getting 5". The 08 4x4 springs level an older 4x4 at 2" (1" due to a longer spring and 1" due to a stiffer spring). A stock 4x4 sits about an inch higher than a 2wd truck. So the 08 4x4 springs will lift a 2wd truck roughly 3" without taking into account the weight of the truck. Now, knowing that a 4x4 is a few hundred pounds heavier than 2wd (and all that weight is mostly in the front) then an extra 1" with the 5100's on the lowest setting seems pretty reasonable on a 2wd. So we're at 4" now. So 5" at the middle setting seems like it is possible. I don't know what will happen with the coil bucket contact situation with 5" of lift. Hopefully I didn't miss anything and have the numbers correct
