I had a question regarding '07 Titan exhaust vs Zoomers.

Shailey's thred on CT stated that since '07 changed their exhaust to dual in single out, it helped boost the HP and torque. Therefore, after market catback is not needed.

Zoomers is a Y-pipe into single in single out. Do you think I've lost any type of power gain the stock came with by installing the Zoomers? The end effect being Less power or the same power as stock and $600 out of my pocket?

I know that Shailey never actually installed the Zoomers. So, I was hoping that there is someone here that can help answer this question. I think this info would be quite valuable to '07+ Titan owners and save them lots of money.

I just spoke with Ron at Zoomers and Kyle at Stillen. They both stated that the power gain is not from the change in the stock exhaust. They tested both stock exhausts and saw no difference in power between the Y-pipe and the dual in pipes. Ron stated that the main reason Nissan changed from Y-pipe to the dual in pipes is due to drone and noise levels.

According to them, the power gain is most likely attributable to tuning on the ECU and the VCT. Ron assured me that the power gain I will experience will be in addition to the stock. I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

I have an 05 with a stock 07 exhaust. And there is a difference in the way my truck drives. There might not be any max torque or max HP gains. But it seems to have more torque in the 1500rpm to 3500rpm range. Its not alot but theres a difference. For example ,if I have my wife and kid in the car with the A/C on while driving in the 1.5k - 3.5k range, it feels like driving with my old stock Y-pipe on with just me in the truck no A/C . Does that make any sense? And the 07 exhaust is louder on the inside of my truck at WOT.But a well designed mandrel bent Y-pipe should show an increase over the stock 07.But even more over a stock Y-pipe. You should not regret your purchase. If I had the money I would buy the Zoomers.

I know what you guys mean. With all the talk about the exhaust changes and being a little uncertain exactly where the added power on the 07 was coming from, I debated for 6 months about keeping the stock exhaust on my 07 or getting a catback. I decided to go with the JBA and I've been really happy with it. I would highly recommend it:)
