I just got off the phone with Hoopers and they told me they would need a yoke off an older titan to do the gear swap in my truck. I thought the 04-07's were ok with just the gear modification. Did everyone that got gears through Hoopers need a "new" old yoke? Not even sure what that it.... I really would like to get the 4.11 gears. And has anyone tried getting Superior's 4.10 gears installed? I believe another member tried and said it would need a spacer plate. Can anyone help?

Hoopers did my 3.73 swap, never got any call about a new yoke...

it looks like you have an 04? they said it was because i had an 07, but i didn't think the axle's changed until 08? weren't the 04-07 all the same?

i just talked to superior and i guess the axle's are the same, but they changed the number of splines in 2006. the 04-05 have like 27 and the 06-07 have 29...i think, i already forgot. can anyone help me out with a part number for a yoke on an 05 axle? i wonder how much it'll cost from the dealer

I think you have it backwards, because these are the type of gears Hoopers use and they have a 29 spline pinion gear.
PRGreg told me the pinion spline count changed in 06 so the 04 & 05 must have 29 spline pinion and the 06 up 27 ? something different :ftard:

Sounds about right, for some reason i was getting real confused talking to Chad at Superior. I'm surprised i even got the 27 and 29 part right:ftard:. So us 06-07 guys are still screwed because of the yoke? Anyone have a parts diagram of where the yoke would be so i can get a part #? I called Scott at Fontana but haven't heard back from him yet. If i figure it out, i'll post part #'s and cost.
