Is the 08 leveling kit the same as my 05 kit? Both are 2wd. I thought I read that the 08 sat taller in the front but I haven't seen mine yet, hasn't arrived at the dealer.

No, your 05 leveling kit WILL NOT work with your 08. The 08's sit about 1.25"-1.5" taller than the previous models up front. If you're looking for a leveling kit for the 08's, I highly suggest ordering from this man at www.prgproducts.com. His name is Greg by the way, if you already didn't know that.

Edit: Sorry, what I mentioned was for the 4x4. As far as the 2wd, that I am unsure of. Best of luck to you.

do you guys know what nissan did to level out the truck? Like did they extend the strut or coil spring to level it out? I really want a lowering kit but havent seen any for the 08 titans yet.

Just got the 08 and need to level it out. I can't remember what my 05 2wd kc looked like before leveled with the 2.5" kit but the new one looks low. I don't know if it's the color change and crew cab but the whole truck looks lower. PRG doesn't have an 08 kit on his site to buy, what's everyone using?

correct me if Im wrong... but I am 99.9% sure the new 2008 4x4 models, both KC and CC, sit up higher in the front, compared to 04-07. Pro-4x may even sit up a tad higher. oh, and the LE models come stock w/ 20" wheels so they might sit up a little higher.

08 2wd models still have that pitch. I havent looked too much into how they did it, but to me, it looks like Nissan "added" a PRG-like 2" leveling kit to the front from the factory. or beefed up the whole front spring assembly.

also, I remember hearing they also tighted up the rear, to "settle it back" more, to help level it out. just my 2 cents.

My 08 Pro 4x sat 2-3/4" lower in the front than the rear. I installed the 2-1/2" kit from Top Gunz and it is perfect now.

The '08 use a longer front coil than earlier years, so they sit a bit taller from the get-go. We only recommend a 1.5" lift for the 4wd and a 2" lift for the 2wd. Using these numbers you will only need a toe adjustment for alignment (verses having to buy alignment cams) and will offer most wheel travel and the very least coilbucket contact. Our kits typically leave the rearabout 1" taller than the front to keep that "truck" look and not let the rear sag.

thanks for the input, Greg! i figured you had a "contract" with nissan, selling them your kit, huh!!? do you know if both the 2wd and 4x4's use the same newer coils? did they do anything different to the rears?

Rear seems to be the same. Coils are just longer on the front. THere are three different coils for '08. 2wd, 4wd, and 4wd long bed. This is just my research, nothing official form Nissan. THe rates are the same as previous years, but the lenghts are different. I had initially thought the rates had changed, but its just the lenght.

Measured the front of the 08 from ground to fender at 36" and the back at 37 7/8" so using the 2" kit I should be right at level front to back. My old truck had no problems with any contact, so with using the 2" kit on the 08 will that be equivilant to my old truck. Should I just order a 2" kit for a 4x4 and that would work on my 08 2wd. thanks

i have an 08 2wd, i put the prg leveling kit for a 2wd and now my measurements are: Front at 39.5", Back at 37". Now i think im gonna install the 1" or 1.5" rear block because it sits way to high and that much rake drives me nuts. Hey greg, does this sound right? I didnt measure pre install.

so you raised yours 2.5" and before that you were level at 37" front and back? Mine isn't that level stock. Greg is it ok to go that high?
