08 Nissan Armada SE?

My wife has an 06 Pathfinder that we are growing out of and about $2000 upside down in if we trade it in. With the $4500 rebate on the Armada right now, not only can we unload it, but we will still have room to negotiate off sticker as well, plus get the damn thing paid off too. With that said, we're going to test drive a completely loaded 08 Armada SE tomorrow, and would like some input from owners, previous owners, or those of you who have driven it for a long time.

WE looked at the Toyota Sequoia as well, but they want a nice sum of $$$ for very few options compared to the Armada.

Any opinions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I FINALLY get my 07 Titan back from the body shop after almost 4 weeks in the body shop for 5k worth of repairs. Damn I miss that truck more than I thought I would... so have the wife and kids!

My wife and I drove one the other day. It is a tank! It had vague steering, and it seemed down on power. It also was almost impossible to get out of the parking space that it was in. I liked the Pathfinder better.
We had one. The wife absolutely hated it. Of course, she hates the Titan even more. Oh well. I would say look at something smaller unless you really need all that space in two vehicles that suck gas like there is no tomorrow. Look at the Pilot - if you don't need to tow, I think that is about the best family vehicle around these days w/o breaking the bank.
Trade up to an '08 Pathfinder V8. ;)

Also, I'm not sure how many times you've bought a new vehicle from a dealer but you want to ignore the MSRP/sticker price. Don't waste your time negotiating off it, tell the dealer you'll pay invoice (Or no more than $100 over invoice) PLUS all the current rebates.

I don't know what options you are considering "loaded", but as an example here's invoice price for an '08 Armada SE 4WD with SE Driver's preferred package, moonroof, tow package, floor mats, cargo organizer, and splash guards: $39,472. Less $4500 in rebates, so $34,972. Sticker price is $43,570.

If they won't sell it for within $100 of invoice price then walk away, there is no reason to pay more. Don't let them trick you into thinking you're paying invoice price by taking the rebates off the MSRP. MSRP - rebates = $39,070. A slimy dealer will try to make you think you're getting a below-invoice deal, but you're really paying full price. Always insist on invoice - rebates.
I bought my wife the Toyota Seqouia and its been a good vehicle for us. Right now you can't beat the deals on the Armadas, if I were you I would take a look at what you get with the Armada and what you get with the Seqouia and the Armada wins hands down!.Dollar for dollar the Armada is the better choice, as far as gas milage I know my Seqouia gets about 16 mpg I don't know if the Armada can beat that. Good luck on your choice!
i like the armada. i think it's the best full size suv by far. she is probably easy on the gas anyways. like the ones that come with matched bumper:gunz:
My dad has an Armada SE. Granted it is an 06, but I like driving it! It has lots of power, and it rides very nice!!! It is a zippy vehicle. I will say this though. When Dad first got it, he and mom are used to Pathfinders and Maximas. They both took out a bush or two down the driveway. My mom actually told the backup sensor, "Aw, shutup!" right before she hit dads bushes....
Had an 07 Armada SE while my truck was in the body shop. Really liked it. I thought it was actually more comfortable and more roomy than my Titan. The drivers seat went back farther and rode smoother. Loads of power for an SUV that size. I would have loved it if it were the LE. It made it a little easier to be without my baby. Had an Acadia rental before the Armada. Liked driving the Armada much better. The day I got my Titan back I still had the Armada. My drive way looked awesome that day. I do like the redesigined interior of the 08's even better. Looks like the inside of the FX. Maybe check out the QX56.

Drove a Pilot and hated it. No power, very few option choices, and it looks like a ***-mobile. The wife hated it and I hated it even worse! I'd rather own a Highlander personally.

We have found an Armada with the SE Premium Package, DVD Entertainment System, Tow Package, Floor/Cargo Mats, and the front/rear splash guards. MSRP (Sticker Price) is $43,260, and I'm looking to purchase it at around $34,800.
