08 T, Lift and Tow

Ok, I finally got a Titan. Its an 08 4x4 crew long bed. It does not have the big tow package so I will be adding a receiver hitch and trailer brake control. I was wondering whats the best lift kit to get for my application. Looking at the XD Addicts wheels with 33 or 34in tires. bigger is better. Thinking about doing the spring tech 3in w/ new upper arms a ball joints in the front and pro comp add a leaf in the rear so i can tow my race trailer without sag. will this make it ride level and clear enough for 34's or is there a better route without spending a small fortune before wheels and tires?

You stated that your truck does not have the tow package, does it have the off road package?

If you race almost ant type of cars you should be able to figure out how bad the towing gear ratio gets with "bigger is better" tires....and the stock rear ratio of 2.94....
Ya, I understand the problem with that. Was going to swap out the rear gears later on. For now I will deal, I live in Kansas so the towing surface is basically flat. And I run micro sprints so my trailer will only hit the scales at around 7k fully loaded. But Im putting most of the weight on the tongue (tools, compressor, generator, spares ect.) and that causes sag w/ a half ton truck.

7K is a fair amount for any 1/2 ton truck, far more then what I would tow with non tow package gears AND that's with stock size tires...

I would put as much stuff in the trailer as you can to get the weight out of the truck...
In all honesty, I run a similar setup, 35's with a 6" and tow 5500-6000, you will have no issues on flat. On hills keep the tach at 3500 + Titan has awesome low end.
Thanks. I'm most interested in knowing how much lift i will actually get from the pro comp add a leaf, so i can figure out exactly how much lift i will need on the front to level.
Ditch the pro comp add a leaf... PRG just came out with a new HD mini pack.. contact Greg for more questions ... Prgproducts.com
